It is important for children to be involved in training processes. Aside from your child learning how to “control” the dog, keeping them involved is a great relationship builder for the child and dog.

Training isn’t something dogs learn once and are good to go for the rest of their lives. Training must be consistent throughout their entire lives.
The term- “Use or lose it” absolutely applies to doggos. 🐶

Soon, I will be offering child/dog group safety classes. 💜🐶

According to the Humane Society and the CDC, there are over 4.5 million dogs bites in the US every year. 😱
Over half of these dog bite victims are children between the ages of 5-9 and occur while interacting with the family dog. 💔 🐶
The most effective way to protect your children from a dog bite is through prevention and education.

Disturbing a sleeping dog can startle them, increasing the chances of being bit especially during REM sleep. Please teach your children to let sleeping dogs sleep.

Steve had no idea how to walk on a leash politely before we met.
As a Rottweiler, big and strong, can you image him dragging his owner everywhere they went together?! 💪🏼 + 🐶 = 😱
It took me a short amount of time to achieve this walk with him using only treats, a leash, and my energy.

⭐️ Trainer Tip ⭐️
It is important to not get frustrated and to be confident when teaching your dog any new behavior.

I am not against other methods of training. All dogs are different, I train accordingly. 💗

Hey y’all!
My name is Nicole and I am the owner of Doggo Lingo - K9 Training & Human Coaching.
I am from a small town in Kentucky. I moved to Central Florida in 2016. I have four children and am married.

My love for dogs has been strong since I was a very young child. We always had dogs growing up. All different breeds. I was definitely the trainer in my family. I remember showing my parents the cool tricks I taught our dogs and the hand signals to go with.
When I was about 11 years old, I watched our Staffordshire terrier, Rogue get hit by a car due to her having no recall training. Fortunately, Rogue lived and from the moment after her wounds healed, I taught her to “stay by me.” She never ran out in front of a car again. This incident is what really motivated me to train dogs and has stuck with me ever since.

Proper dog training builds confidence, provides mental stimulation and strengthens the human-animal bond.
This is my passion. 💗

Luna, the pitsky is doing awesome!

Down with distance and learning to stay by me without the leash.
She has on an e collar. However, I did not have to use it for this video.
E collars are excellent tools if used properly. If I have to say a command more than twice, I utilize the collar on the lowest setting. It does not hurt her, it is simply stimulation similar to the ones chiropractors use to loosen stiff muscles.

Adequate exercise for your specific breed keeps your dog healthy and limber. Exercise can also help reduce unwanted behavior problems such as digging and chewing.
