We had a photo shoot today!

The "Alice in Wonderland" puppies are almost 10 weeks old and everyone is getting so big and fluffy. Their personalities are undeniable these days as well! Half of the puppies have already gone to live with the furever families and the other half are still with us. Little White Rabbit goes home in a few days and we will be driving Queen of Hearts to Portland next week as well. I can't believe that no one has scooped up Alice, Cheshire, or Tweedledee yet! They are all absolutely incredible puppies!!!

The "Alice in Wonderland" litter is officially 7 weeks old! Everyone is getting big and fluffy and developing quickly these days. The past few weeks we have gone on multiple car rides, done multiple rounds of firework desensitation, multiple rounds of vacuum desensitation, had our 1st baths, continues with nail trims and full body combing, incorporated new toys into their play, spent time outside, and met countless new people of varying ethnicities, ages, and physical abilities. We also finished a deworming treatment with everyone. Personalities and preferences are now easy to distinguish with each puppy and we are close to doing temperment evaluations so we can match these puppies with their new families wants and needs!

This coming week is a big one for the puppies. We have meet and greets with our puppy families tomorrow afternoon and temperment evaluations tomorrow evening. Our families will be making their official puppy picks on Monday. Wednesday they have vet checks and will receive their 1st vaccines and be microchipped. And then Friday's is the day our families have been eagerly anticipating because it's Go-Home day!

We're starting firework desensitization today. They aren't impressed but also none of them are even remotely bothered.

Also, they got small crates added to their space a few days ago. As you can see it is their preferred sleeping place.

The "Alice in Wonderland" puppies had their 1st car ride today and it was a success! In the past we have had puppies freak out, bark/cry/howl the whole time, and a few have gotten car sick. These puppies didn't do any of those things. They handled it like they've been riding in the car forever! They'll have at least 1, if not 2 car rides a week until they go to their new families.

Story time with Sir Catsby was a success!

The puppies were all very curious about the talking cat with weird light-up eyes that showed up to tell them a story. This is just a small part of our curriculum to introduce them to things that make noise and move unexpectedly. They're curiosity and fearlessness is so adorable to watch!

Please disregard the loud barking dog in the background. Charlie was on the other side of the fence trying to "save" the puppies from the "evil" cat. Lol

The "Alice in Wonderland" litter is almost 5 weeks old and everyone is growing so fast!!! Now that they've moved to a bigger space in the living room they are more active and exposed to a ton more sounds and smells. The blender and the coffee grinder no longer faze them. They are experiencing different tactile surfaces. We've introduced grass pads into their area and everyone is using them pretty consistently!

This week we will continue our sound desensitation with some fireworks, a running vacuum, and some sirens. They'll also be given a tunnel to explore during play time. We'll also be interacting with more things that move unexpectedly and make strange, loud noises unexpectedly. Car ride exposure and socialization with some new people is also on the agenda for this weekend. Lots of big stuff happening for the next few weeks leading up to them joining their new families!

1st time having puppy mush!

Everyone participated without hesitation. (some more than others 🤣). Everyone stayed pretty clean. No puppies walked through, completely stood in, or rolled in the mush like some of the puppies from our previous litter. To be honest, this was the cleanest and most successful introduction to mush that we have ever had from any of our litters! There wasn't much for Annie to clean up when they were done. These puppies just keep impressing me and exceeding my expectations.

Last week was a big transition week for the puppies! They got moved out of my bedroom and into our living room. With that came double the space, potty pads, a tactile sensory mat, and the introduction of their water dishes. It also means more household sounds and smells for them to acclimate to. Everyone settled in very quickly and is thriving in their new space. Annie is appreciating the addition of extra space as it is less cramped at feeding times. The puppies are getting more active and playing more. They have done incredibly well with using their dedicated sleeping area and only going to the bathroom on the potty pads! These babies continue to exceed my expectations and impress me!!!

"Alice"

"Alice" is such a sweet little girl. She has such a calm disposition! She is on the smaller side compared to most of her siblings. Her coat is getting slightly darker as she ages and is extremely soft. She is standing and walking. Her eyes and ears are open. She's handling ENS, ESI, and daily handling very well.

The "Mad Hatter"

Despite his name this guy is anything but "mad". He is happy, relatively chill, super snuggly, and very even tempered for his age! He's a "middle of the pack" kinda guy when it comes to his size. His stunning red coat is getting deeper as he gets older. He is standing and walking. His eyes and ears are open. He's done beautifully with ENS, ESI, and daily handling.

"Dinah"

Little Miss "Dinah"! This girl is incredible, even at a young age! It is way to early to say this definitively but, as of right now, if I were going to keep a female back to be a potential mama it would be "Dinah". This girl is even tempered, extremely chill, polite with her voice, and all about human interaction. Not to mention she has a stunning apricot coat that is getting darker as she gets older. Her eyes and ears are open. She is standing and walking. She handles ENS, ESI, and daily handling like she was made for it!

"Thackery Earwicket"
Aka the March Hare

Oh "Thackery". Another one that keeps me on my toes. "Thackery" is an enigma wrapped in a riddle. He's adventurous and reserved, quietly loud, and independently snuggly. He makes zero sense and yet perfect sense at the same time. He's several of the kids favorite because he keeps them laughing and it's impossible not to fall in love with him!
He is standing and walking. His eyes and ears are open. He's flown through ENS, ESI, and daily handling.
