Riggs has gotten some great exposure to kids and new experiences while here. He is a very intelligent dog and we’ve been able to build his confidence and set him up for success as he heads back home. I can’t say enough how important it is for puppies to experience as much as they can while they are young. The more places they go, people they meet, things they see and hear, and positive experiences they have help them to grow up with confidence in you and themselves.

These great dog treats are on sale at Costco right now. Most dogs I work with love these and they are a great price for the quantity. They're easily broken into smaller sizes which makes them great for small and large dogs. I just bought five bags (which is the sale limit).

Here's your reminder that if you are getting a puppy or new dog for Christmas, go ahead and plan to book some training sessions. Set yourself up for success ahead of time so you can enjoy your new pup with a lot less frustration.

Internet and cell service have been spotty over the last week. But wanted to give an update and say we're so grateful to for coming to help get the trees off of the Dominion Dog Barn. There was little damage and he helped us get things cleaned up and to a point where we could start accepting more pups. The dog yard is missing a good deal of trees, but we'll view it as a positive. There is more room to play! As Augusta continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, feel free to reach out if you have a need for your pup. This is a stressful time for all and we'd love to help ease the burden in any way we can.

The dog yard at Dominion Dog got a little wrecked by Hurricane Helene. However, the barn is still intact and we have even had a board and train all through the recovery. For those who have been displaced, please reach out if you need boarding. Our power is back on as of today, and we would be glad to help you while you are staying with family or out of town.
