So this is Ron's first bath! We started with filtered water and brought it to about 95 degrees(verified by a thermo pen). Then we brought him over, showed him water by splashing lightly with our hands. He was a little apprehensive but with encouraging talk and tone of voice he entered the water. At times his body language told us he was a little stressed but we continued reassuring him. He eventually calmed( we could tell by his tail being down and in the water). His relaxation climaxed to him defecating in the water, which we quickly removed to not contaminate his bath water. We continued for 20 minutes and immediately removed him gently and reassuringly, as well as dried him off thoroughly so as to not invite anything unwanted by him returning to his enclosure damp. We feel it was a success and we continue to love Ron's sweet nature, despite only being about 2 months old. He continues his best life by eating yummy kale and Dubias, playing in his beautiful enclosure and getting plenty of ZZZ's when his lights turn off and as he climbs his aloe to sleep.
