First Freedom Walk of 2025
From trembling in the shelter to a super happy freedom walk.
Ever seen a doxy pittie mix? We cannot believe this guy was overlooked at the shelter since December 16th. Not one interested adopter. No owner claimed him. Heāll be fixed Monday and ready to meet his furever family soon ā¤ļø
This has been the hardest week of rescue so far.
Meet our newest guests. They are cute - and also making early advances in acts of terror. They never stop eating or pooping. Iāve used approximately 200 potty pads. The three cases of wet food donated last week are nearly gone.
They lost their mom at just 4 weeks old to a completely preventable complication. While mourning her loss, we had to at the same time, secure her puppies and ensure they were healthy and still gaining weight. And that is how I have spent nearly a week caring for 8 baby puppies.
š How can you help? Please share and donate.
āļø We need fosters and supplies, and we would love a rescue or two to assist backing some of these puppies.

Three TNR cats being fixed today at Golden Coast!
āļø š¾ š
That makes TWENTY total cats fixed in two colonies since we started in February. We are only able to do this with the help of our community and your donations. Each cat today will cost $120 for neuter and vaccines.
Simon is a semi-friendly boy that spent his nights outside our co-founderās house, singing the song of his people. He was clearly looking for love in all the wrong places. He will feel much better now!
Jazz snuck up onto the porch of the same house the next day, and walked right into our trap. Talk about lazy trapping.
Lastly, Biggie is a beautiful grey boy that has been seen several times wandering around the Nashland street colony we are fixing. Unfortunately, we noticed an abscess on his head (likely from fighting other Tom cats) and the wound will be cleaned up while heās sedated.
Please call golden coast vet Wildomar to donate directly or use paypal link in our bio ā¤ļø
Thank you!!!!
Remember Stitch? Weāve posted her many times over the past two years trying to find her perfect home. While we have always seen the pure love and brightness this dog brings to the home, sheās been turned down and rejected by too many potential adopters.
We are so happy to share that our friends at Bingley & Co. saw Stitchās potential and offered to intake her for āboard and trainā at a fraction of the cost! Stitch has been with professional trainers for the past 5 weeks and she has gone above and beyond proving she is ready to be the perfect dog.
Please enjoy just one of many awesome video updates we have received on Stitch š
Her adoption fee of $100 covers 6 months of mandatory follow up training with Bingley trainers š¤ She is fixed, vaccinated, and chipped and ready to meet her new family ā¤ļø

Introducing Keith- the sweetest tuxie with a quirky head tilt š»
Keith entered the Riverside County shelter on February 5th. He was a suspected to be hit by a car and he saw the shelter vet twice for his notable head tilt.
To our horror, Keith was also suffering from a compound tail fracture - which is when the bone protrudes from the skin. While the shelter noted his tail was limp, they concluded he had a tailbone fracture, and they apparently missed the open wound on his tail several inches above the tailbone. Thankfully, despite the huge oversight, he was in pain meds and antibiotics while at the shelter.
When he saw the shelter vet a THIRD time to be neutered for rescue (21 days since intake), they refused to operate citing he needed more time to heal before surgery. Still no mention of the open wound.
Sadly, we have experience with very similar situations, and memories of Charger from San Jose weigh heavily on our hearts. He came to us septic after the shelter missed a large abscess on his thigh. In his memory we are going to go above and beyond for this guy.
We are SO grateful for our wonderful foster, Hannah, for immediately bathing him and finding the wound. He saw the vet at Mary Roberts yesterday, and paws crossed he will have surgery to amputate his tail (and lose his testicles!) on Friday.
The estimate is $400-500 and they want to check his inner ear while sedated to make sure polyps arenāt causing the tilt. He will also need follow up later to see how his tailbone fracture is healing.

If you want to make our shelters better, please volunteer and engage. We will not tolerate shelter bashing. We make every effort to keep our communication with the shelter positive and productive and we will address this incident with them privately and make every effort to support them in improving. Blame our comm
The first intake of 2024 came to us pretty sick and we feared the worst. After a few days of TLC heās thriving and showing us his kitten spunk šš„° his name is- for no apparent reason- Cheeto š¤ I updated our Amazon wishlist and we need Capstar most at this time.
Once you start TNR - you become addicted and this is why. Right there at the end, watching her frolic back to her home and the only sense of safety she knows. She is fed. She is sheltered. And now she will never know the pain of giving birth and raising kittens outside. #supporttnr #trapneuterreturntosavelives #feralcatsofinstagram #feralcatsneedlovetoo #calico #southerncalifornia #spayandneuter
