Hi everyone - sorry I have not been on my business page that much but I have been busy. Please be advised that my truck is being worked on (we all have upkeep every now and then, it's inevitable). Also, my wonderful cell phone crashed today and I lost ALL of my clients numbers and previous conversations - this includes conversations with people I was in the middle of having. My phone factory reset itself - it's been one of those days. So, please accept my apologies if I have not responded to you as everything was erased (yeah, Motorola). ATTN: Deogee Mobile K9 Spa changes. Approximately a month ago, I suffered a terrible accident causing serious damage to my back. I am no longer able to work on Large and XL dogs, I can't lift them, I'm unable to get them to stand, unable to move them productively - therefore as of today (July 24, 2023) Deogee Mobile K9 Spa is only accepting dogs under 50 lbs. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I love what I do and I need to keep my health in check. Note: I will continue to groom current clients that are on repeat schedules, but I will need assistance from the owner(s). Thank you.

There is a lot to mobile grooming and a lot of maintenance/cost to keep it rolling. Please understand when someone has a skill and offers come to you service there's a price difference. An educated groomer goes to school for around a year, learns to judge the needs of the dog and it's coat, equipment runs around 10k, the mobile unit can run up to 100K, Shampoo, Conditioner, cleaners - around $500 - $1000 and eventually everything needs to be replaced. On average a mobile groomer charges 80.00 - 100.00 for a small/medium dog, but not all the money goes into their pocket - it still goes to the business. Thank you so much for being faithful to your groomer, they love your furbabies and it's their job to take care of them,.

Apologies to folks who have been trying to get a hold of me. My phone died (not the battery - it went black out dead) and Tmobile sent me a replacement phone that is also not working. Needless to say, I can't get in contact with my clients and all of my contact numbers are gone. I will be heading back to Tmobile tomorrow to have this fixed. Again, I'm so sorry for the lack of communication that is out of my hands.

Hi Folks, I wanted to talk to you about what a "puppy mill" IS. When someone has a post to sell a puppy please do research on their history. When they have at least 20 different breeds and/or breed mixes listed for sale, please be advised that when you see such things that is a HUGE red flag on the kind of love and care these dogs and puppies are/are not receiving. You take the chance of inbreeding (also called Line Breeding), bad health issues being repeat bred (into each litter), lack of proper care from a vet, psychological issues, and a lot more. Please be aware what a Puppy Mill is and the wrongs they do. Thank you.

My Journey to 309 Barks Canine Grooming.

It was in a different state, 2 decades ago and a lot of help and influence from friends and associates. With said help, I stepped into canine grooming school. There were approximately 20 students of all different ages and backgrounds, all there to learn the same skills. Also experiencing confusion, questioning how to properly perform assignments and graduating in a years time.

The initial thought of starting grooming school was scary, then came graduation and the idea of what to do next. It later came to me that even though I finished learning about grooming dogs, they never taught us how to start or run a personally run business. Bumps in the road would throw you off track for sure. I’ve seen salons come and go, I knew that one day it would be my turn to own my salon.

Currently, things are going forward and looking good for 309 Barks. There’s also a new development for 309 Barks Canine Grooming, the purchase of a grooming van (for mobile grooming ability). Indeed there was a hiccup in the purchase of the grooming van, it was a really good deal, but with said, “Good Deal” a new engine would also be needed (this too shall pass).

So, this journey still continues and I hope you too would join 309 Barks Canine Grooming in it’s new adventures.
