Robert’s Pet Parlor will be with PETZ WHZE Saturday 10/19.

We will be demonstrating proper at home grooming maintenance for pup owners in between grooming. As well as handing out pup goodie bags. All who show up and donate items or cash donations in support of our local shelters will receive a ticket into a drawing to receive a free grooming session!

🐩I had the privilege of grooming this beauty, Charlee, a native Vegas girl now here in Texas with her hoo-man, Janet Grassman. Janet is a hospice nurse that has worked diligently with Charlee to train and certify her as a hospice therapy dog. Now, I love each and everyone of my Srandard Poodle clients and always will, but Charlee and Janet really had my heart strings strumming today as Janet shared their story. Working with Charlee, I could tell she knew her job and knew it well.

Pelting occurs when a dogs coat is neglected for so long that the mats intertwine into a solid pelt. Routine brushing and grooming appointments will prevent this from happening!

When we say our De-shed treatment is worth it, we mean it! This is just one of the many steps we take to remove all excess shedding hair from our double coated clients. As you can see, Connie has a ton of hair, that just would pick up in a brush, washing right off. Give us a call for all your pet grooming needs 🐕 🐈

The result of the lack of brushing and maintenance in between grooms. Matting at its worst can cause severe skin irritation and infection. The thickness of mats shield the skin from being able to air out properly and traps moisture that in turn will make for the perfect environment for yeast bacteria to form and eventually turn into an infection. There is more to grooming than every few months and to ensure your pups live a full viable life, make sure to get them in for routine grooming.

This is part of the job so many don’t see. So many pet owners want cheap and fast but don’t realize the extent we groomers go to in order to accomplish the groom that’s desired and best for the pet. Here is Atlas. A 230lb Saint Bernard that I have had the privilege of grooming for over 2 years now. He’s so big he can’t stand long, he can’t fit in our bath tubs, much less fit on our hydraulic grooming tables. The work it takes to get this big guy to his owners desired groom is something that takes time, gentleness, patience, compromise. He was trained with the help of Dalton Wickham and myself because he was people and dog reactive/aggressive and in order to ensure our safety as well as his own, we can’t rush through the groom process. A lot of groomers wouldn’t give Atlas the benefit of the doubt. Just know when you’re looking for a groomer, good groomers aren’t cheap and cheap groomers aren’t good. ⭐️ VIDEO FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ⭐️ Even though your pets may be on a flea and tick preventative regular grooming can ensure the absence of those pests. This pup is on a regular preventative and was brought in for a clean up spa day. Due to his hair growth the tick wasn’t visible to the owners naked eye. We removed the tick and found no others on the pup. 🥰 Let us pamper your fur babies to keep them looking and feeling their very best 🐕 🐈

We apologize it’s been a crazy weekend and Mondays are quite busy for us here at the salon. There was a whole 7 participants in the raffle and we greatly appreciate those people.
