Lets talk about the grooming van! 🚘 How does someone completely groom a dog inside a van?🤔
She is a 2024 Mercedes Sprinter Van custom outfitted by Wag'n Tails.
She is completely self contained meaning there are separate 50 gallon clean water and 50 gallon grey water tanks who's capacities last me all day without a refill or emptying.
All my appliances and inside needs are fully electric. She contains a 1,200 amp-hour lithium battery pack as well as roof solar panels to ensure everything works smoothly all day. The roof top air conditioning unit keeps both me and the dogs cool and comfortable throughout the whole grooming process.
The Wag'n Tails Smart Table allows me to groom dogs of all sizes without risking injury to myself or the dog. Hydraulics lift the table from 16" to 42" with a 250lbs lift capacity. It also contains efficient extender directly to the bath tub so the dogs may simply walk in to the tub from the table.
She contains a high velocity blow dryer to efficiently dry the dogs as well as a central vacuum system to make clean up quick and easy. All LED lighting makes this especially energy efficient and the tinted windows allow your dog to enjoy a scenic outdoor view without allowing the sun to cook us.
Shes a whopping 20' long with a 10' clearance. Being a 2024 Mercedes, she comes with a wide view back up camera, lane and wind assist settings. She maneuvers well through neighborhoods but also gets up and goes on the interstate!

❗This is a message special for owners of Wired Haired puppers❗Have you ever heard of a technique called Hand Stripping??
Hand stripping is a grooming process in which the dead hairs of the coat are removed from the follicle leaving the healthy hairs behind. As you can see here on Eddie, he has good soft undercoat and long coarse top coat hairs. By hand stripping him instead of using clippers, I am able to remove only the wired, top coat leaving his healthy undercoat unharmed. By removing dead coat directly from the follicle it also encourages new healthy coat growth.
While they're are many benefits to hand stripping, it isn't for everyone. Only wire coated dogs can be stripped with the exception of a few breeds who can be carded. (Carding is a type of hand stripping) I can also only strip what the coat will allow. Even some wired coats can soften and become stubborn over time making them hard to strip.
And NO! Hand stripping does not hurt! Since I am only plucking dead hairs it does not cause them pain. However, the action of pulling and gripping the hairs can make some dogs uncomfortable due to the new experience. Eddie here, has never been hand stripped and was a little confused at first but once he realized it doesn't hurt and there's no loud clippers, he sat like an absolute champ. Some areas like the face and feet can be a little more uncomfortable to pluck, so in that case I use scissors to clean them up if they wont allow me to strip.
If you are interested in having your dog stripped for the 1st time or for the 100th time, please feel free to message me for more info or to get on the schedule! My #1 priority is to do what's in your dogs best interest, therefore I will be true and honest about what grooming technique will suit them!
Don't forget about your double coated doggies! Even though Rebel has short hair, he is still replacing his undercoat just like any other double coated breed. Let me help them and your floors by removing all that loose coat
Another great example of a breed standard cut! Cash, the Scottish Terrier, was a treat to work with and turned out great back in his breed cut.
