Good afternoon!
Some big holidays are quickly approaching, with more family and friend interaction!

Kids and some adults even, need just as much training as dogs do!

PLEASE, for the safety of the kids and dogs, SUPERVISE and teach proper ways of interacting with dogs, ESPECIALLY dogs they don't know.

-NEVER stick their face in a dogs face, (I get some kids are at face level with dogs, so I kept my arm/hand around my toddlers shoulders, and I made sure to let people know not to let their dogs in his face either.) Completely unacceptable.

-Do not reach over the top of a dogs head to pet them, most dogs actually do not like this. Teach them to go under the chin instead, if you see the dog is comfortable.

-ALWAYS ASK to pet!

-NEVER reach out and sneak a pet when walking by!

-If a dog tries to walk away or does remove itself from a situation, leave it alone, do not follow it or force it to interact

Dogs communicate with body language FIRST before a growl, nip or bite comes. KNOW what to look for, if you have questions or need help, please let me know.

I have never boarded at a kennel before, so I'm unaware.

I've been asked several times what is good to give to their dog for chewing &/or even entertaining them. So I thought I'd share what I do! It's also great for crate training!

I love to get this canned pumpkin, some natural peanut butter, fill the Kong with this mixture (or one or the other). I also get a bully stick OR a raw frozen chicken foot, then put it in the larger opening of the Kong, freeze it all, and then give it to your dog!

BOOM, happy dog!
