Luna and Crypto's litter of two born December 7th!

A tiny toy girl and boy. We are so happy to have gotten the merle boy we prayed for! And excited to start the beginning of our merle line. We will be keeping this little merle boy. His sister is available. She is the tinier of the two and charting 4-5lbs.

Gin and Tito's puppies, born August 31st, have all been placed in their forever homes. We have received updated photos of them with their family and wanted to share them!

The sable parti girl went to the Crafford's in AR. Her name is Mona!

The brown parti girl went to the Spencer's in AR. (Waiting for picture update).

The black parti boy with the half n half face went to the Songy's in Texas. His name is Luffy!

The black parti boy went to the Holmes's in Louisiana. His name is Meeko!

The brown parti boy went to the Sullivans' in Texas. His name is Apollo!

Do Doodles Shed?

That’s the million dollar question that everyone wants to know, & the answer is YES.

When you breed a curly coat like a Poodle with a double coat like a Golden Retriever, the pup is born with a combination coat. They have both curly coat AND undercoat.

When you look under a microscope at doodle hair follicles, you can see that their hair does not grow in a synchronized pattern like a purebred dog. Since the hair follicles do not grow in sync with each other, this causes the coat to tangle more easily.

If a Doodle sheds, why are you not finding loose hair all over your house?

When the undercoat sheds, it clings to the curly coat which works like Velcro and holds all that hair in. It’s very important to brush and comb your doodle regularly not only to prevent matting, but also so that you can brush out the loose undercoat that is trapped in the curly coat. This trapped undercoat is one of the number one reasons that I see Doods matted.

Gin and Tito's puppies are 2 weeks old! Born August 31st. There are 3 boys and 2 girls.

Gin and Tito welcomed their first litter together August 31st. They are a week old today. There are 3 boys and 2 girls. They are all ranging a bit in size, anywhere from tiny toy to toy size (3-7lbs). The bottom two pictures are the girls, the rest boys, and mom and dad in top left.
