Grimalkin’s Rescue is moving headquarters, and could use help with the cost to prepare the new office, warehouse/supply storage and intake space as well as larger equipment transportation (vet table, larger quarantine cages, storage).

Rosie! Rosie came to us in a taped-shut diaper box and was very sick with parasites and infection. She’s made a full recovery and is ready to go home. Rosie is roughly 5 months old and is a curious love bug.
Adoption fees are reduced this month due to moving headquarters. Adoption fees include spay, core vaccines, dewormer, microchip, flea and mite preventative and the individual love, care and attention of a foster-based rescue to really get to know and care for kitties.
Rosie’s adoption fee is only $50 during this transition period. Contact us via messenger if you’d like to meet Rosie!

Our headquarters and biggest foster home is relocating (still serving Muskegon area). We could use some community support during this time. If you’d like to help, here are ways you can support us during this hectic and exciting time;
1. Foster a cat or kitten.
2. Donate: Venmo and Cashapp $grimalkinsrescue We are not focusing on fundraising while we transition, and could use a boost in the spay/neuter fund.
3. Donate supplies or moving boxes (dry and wet cat and kitten food, cleaning supplies and boxes for moving kitty items). Donations can be dropped or shipped to 3320 Peck Street.
4. Adopt! Our adoption fees are reduced during this transition.

King Rick is not quite 1 year old, and came to us from the streets of Grand Rapids. While he had battle wounds that needed treatment, he is not an instigator and is a very sweet and docile cat. Good with cats, dogs and children.
Adoption fee is 65$ and includes flea and mite preventative, core and rabies vaccinations, dewormer, microchip and neuter.
If you’re looking for a quieter, sweet cat who enjoys pets, send us a message- he’s waiting for you!

An update from adopter: (Kevin is their other cat.)
"She claimed a spot on the back of the couch. She's going potty, eating and playing just fine. We let Kevin smell her in the carrier and he just sniffed and then walked away. We decided to just let her out and see what she would do. She walked around, peed in her new box and proceeded to find this spot on the couch. They watch each other and I think Kevin wants to play but she's still not sure. A bit ago Kevin jumped up and sat right next to her on the couch. She growled a little and he just stayed and went to sleep. I think we will have fun with these two. Thank you for taking such good care of her during her first four months. 😌😊😻"

King Rick is our newest, baddest yet sweetest warrior. He came to us from the streets of Grand Rapids nursing battle wounds and ready to settle in with a family. Named for Darryl King Rick Farmer II, the founder and leader of the Original Black Panthers, he is a strong, smart, independent yet affectionate soul.
King Rick is around 9 or 10 months old, and is a big guy for his age.
He will be available after August 1st, adoption is $70 and includes deworming, flea treatment, core vaccines and Rabies vax, neuter and the individual care that comes from placement in an in-home foster.
Good with kids, including small children. Good with small/medium dogs, never been around larger dogs.
Required for King Rick before adoption approval: an in-person meeting to ensure the right match. He is very special to us.

Thank you to Kyle and the Walker FedEx warehouse for an amazing donation and to those continuing to drop off popcans! We also received an amazing drop off of kitten dry, wet food, treats, litter scoop and other items this week- whoever you are, thank you!!!! We are at 150% sustainable capacity for our current budget and anything and everything helps!
We are scheduling surgeries for several gorgeous kittens. Orange, long hair black and white, big-eyed tabbies. Photos coming when available. Our adoption rates are 100 for kittens or 2 kittens for 175$.
All adopted pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated. If you're considering a kitten in the next month or so, we would love to facilitate the adoption of your new family member.
We are new, not well-known and still building our foster base. Even we will be 50% above our current sustainable capacity as of this week. This means we need monetary and supply donations and fosters. Established, larger organizations are running crazy and ragged. If you can help in any capacity, we and our fur fosters would so appreciate it. If you know anyone who needs assistance with spay/neuter we can work as a conduit to try to help them find an affordable option. This is critical.

The power of rescue. Snowflake was rescued by our founder 6 months ago. It took 6 months for this moment. After her human mama passed on, she was locked in a basement for 2 years. No sunlight. Very little food. She was underweight and has gained quite a few pounds since her rescue. Her belly wasn't used to being full and she would throw up bile and had to be fed like a newborn bits at a time from a syringe. It took about 2 months for her to be visible. 4 months for her to walk around her new home in it's entirety. 5 months to use a cat bed within human sight. And today, at 6 months, a barrier was broken. <3 She is healing.
