SHE’S BAAAAAACK🐶🐾🦴🥳
We are still open for scheduling, but please be patient!
No matter what training program you decide these three words are key! 🔑
Consistency: Everybody in your household or that handles your dog must follow the “training rules”. You cannot have spouses, a dog walker, and kids all with different rules and think just because a trainer is involved there will be progress. You will just confuse the dog and they will not follow training or they will only respect those that hold them accountable and enforce the training.
Repetition: This goes hand in hand with consistency. By repeatedly practicing or enforcing the training you are going to allow the dog that learns by muscle memory to make more progress and advance.
You cannot complete a training program and make no changes. You cannot complete a training program and alter it to what you want to or don’t want to follow. We set guidelines in place to address the dog’s issues.
A few examples. If you struggle with leash walking…you cannot then begin walking your dog in a harness and retractable leash and assume problems are fixed because you did training. No. We establish the tool that works for your dog and the position of a walk at our side. You cannot train a dog and then send them to play groups, day care, dog parks and then say they have bad behaviors. You cannot e collar train a dog and then decide partway through one person didn’t agree because they are uneducated and expect to now go back to only training with no tools and get the same progression.
This handsome man recently boarded with us! We also completed a bit of a behavior assessment and he passed with flying colors before we drove him home and delivered him to his family as they arrived from the airport to avoid one less thing to do as they got home😊
Looks like Stevie despises staying here😉
Thank you for coming on vacation here, Ellis!
We love when Blue and Artie come for sleepovers🥰the rare time we had a split second inside not crying to go race the property!
Full Day Drop Off Training with this hunk😍having issues with groomers we were able to slowly introduce him to grooming at his pace AND more importantly in a positive manner.

Small Safety Rant🐶
I feel as though many people use commercial style boarding facilities or chains because 1-they feel it is most reliable and 2-they want the socialization for their dog. My biggest red flag is the safety of animals. The other night locally was a perfect example. A very popular commercial boarding facility where dogs are left UNATTENDED OVERNIGHT. Thank goodness the alert system worked and police arrived and acted swiftly to save all animals.
I think people should consider both the pros and cons of where they board their dogs. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Think of these situations and know their plans of actions and timing. Think how many times your dog has cried left alone at night, needs to go to the bathroom, smoke alarms etc….and then to board them somewhere they are not tended to at those times immediately. Think how can X amount of employees per X amount of dogs be safe. Don’t assume just because it is a commercial property, a chain facility etc. it is the safest bet.
Add in issues like sanitary and sickness concerns with large numbers of dogs, kennel environment compared to a home, and the false idea that socialization is 20+ dogs all free for all playing together.
On the contrary is the many individuals that board dogs in their home without any legal business.
Again, just wanted to put the thoughts in people’s minds to consider all factors of different places they use whether it be K9 Train Station, commercial facilities, or apps for hire and private in home individuals.
At K9 Train Station our animals are our absolute babies and this is one of our biggest fears. Bringing in a clients fur baby just adds to that and is why we strive to put safety with comfort as our top priorities❤️🐶
Mochi is the sweetest pup that loves being where the people are when she’s on vacation with us❤️

Barkley was happy to be back for general boarding after his board and train. Once you are a training client and board with us-training is maintained while they’re here on a fun vacation🦴🌞
Ike has done training with us and now always does boarding so we can stay on top of his training and brush up on any areas he needs reinforced-like wanting dinner off the counter🤪
Let’s talk rainy day enrichment! Or any day! Sensory and Nutritional Enrichment is a great way to get out some of a dog’snatural instincts like chewing and smelling, give them something to focus on mentally as mental energy is more draining than physical, and all allows relaxation by combating boredom and releasing forms of energy.
1. Stuffed and frozen Kongs
2. Dog puzzles
3. Frozen lick mats (licking is soothing)
4. Snuffle mats (nose work is their number one sense)
5. Put some old plastic water bottles in a box, sprinkle some treats and let them have at it all (for the bored destructive dogs and confidence work)
6. Lay out a towel, sprinkle some food or treats and roll it up for them to unroll as they smell and snack (DIY!)
7. Kong Wobbler treat dispenser
8. Find it: hide treats behind chair legs, under toys, in their bed
9. Bully stick, Buffalo Horn, Marrow Bone
10. Teaser Toy/Flirt Pole
Thanks for making virtual sessions even more enjoyable with the snuggles and love 💙😂
Bubba and Rudy had the time of their life running around our property with the jolly ball every day, all day🤣💙
Happy Birthday to the boy that started the animal obsession and drive to fix dog stigmas💙
Koda and Remy pop in occasionally for boarding. Opposites attract in these brothers💙
Dog Owner Safety PSA! All of my dogs have and will always have Break Away Collars. A perfect example here: Ethel was starting to get through her cage door half latched, her collar got hooked…typically a regular collar 99% or dogs wear she would’ve been stuck at the bottom of the cage in the door with the risk of choking herself out. With a Break Away collar she easily was able to free herself with the tension right. I’ve personally known three dogs that choked or died due to collar mishaps with things like dog play, hooked on a fence, hooked on a gate. I would encourage any dog owner especially if you leave their collars on 24/7 to order a Break Away Collar…which they sadly don’t sell in stores.
Baxter at boarding took his squirrel patrol job very serious👀
Many people message on business instagram then Facebook, then find our personal social media and message, then call/voicemail/text and then email. All within an hour at 9pm on a Saturday and usually for a date in 4 months. Please be patient. We are not a 12 person business sitting around twiddling our thumbs. We also try to schedule fairly with those that inquire first which is why we hold for only 24 hours. We value quality over quantity with boarding which is why we don’t “yes” everybody immediately. Thank you and we look forward to working with you 🐾🦴
Nicole is on a much needed break! No employees will be responding to emails/phone during this time. Clients for the 15th-don’t stress- we will be in touch prior with you 😊
Please follow instagram for the more frequent postings!
Current and New Clients-PLEASE send over your dates for vacation etc. for boarding as soon as you know. We already have people booking throughout the spring and into Fall 2024! Say no to kennel environments and come board with us where we are here 24/7.
Delilah during her first training meet🥰She is a deaf puppy that is the sweetest thing. We are helping her owners correct puppy behaviors from potty training to jumping and leash manners along with guiding them through training a deaf dog to be able to best communicate with her. We are also working the safety aspect of startle training a deaf dog to help with the kids in the home startling her.
Happy Hanukkah to those that celebrate!
This sweet little Honey Bear just came home at 8 weeks old and their family is doing private sessions so we can assist in all the puppy phase quirks to come!

When Stevie boards you must have all the balls and be ready to play at all times! She found the pony jolly ball this time 🤪
Talk about RECALL! Nola is not even a year old and already working distance and distractions with off leash recall. Schedule a consult with us today to get your dog to this level!
Sadie has high reactivity to men and has multiple times gone after to biting in their home. We worked on exposure in a positive manner to change her emotional response. This is how training should be-not just suppressing a behavior and shutting a dog down calling it fixed. *Do not try any training on your own without hiring a professional*
Happy Fourth from the grinch of the fireworks-your friendly dog trainer🤷🏽♀️we got our time outside quickly before sunset and are hunkering down to enjoy the next few hours inside😌everybody is in some form of inside..farm animals, our pets, and my client babies here❤️scared or not PLEASE bring all your dogs outside on leashes tonight!
They are called TOOLS. Harness is a tool for sled dogs. Do Not Pet Vest is a tool for a service dog. Slip leads, prong collars, halti collars, e collars. They’re all tools. They are not torture devices or old school shock painful punishment. It’s 2023. Education is key. Guinness came on a prong, and we started at the basics instead with a slip lead.
Touch seems like a unimportant command, however, it is a multipurpose command that gets their nose working, gets a dog used to hands reaching toward its face, and helps with recall.
Just because there is other dogs running and playing…doesn’t mean your dog needs to match their level. Jelly Belly Bean working place outdoors🍭
Stella would attack the vacuum. We slowly got her to be next to the vacuum off, treats by the vacuum, turning it on and off, and finally using the vacuum. The closer we got she did start to show signs of stress, however, she did not attack and panic run. She worked through the process and will only keep improving. 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 #dogs #dogtraining #adoptdontshop#rescuedogs #breeder #family #kids #walking #baddog #gooddog #dogsofinstagram #doglover #dogoftheday #pets #puppies #supportsmallbusiness #fyp #like #foryou #dogoftheday #love #instagood #photooftheday #happy #viral #love #dogstagram #doglife #petlovers #dogmom
Seven dogs and all relaxed on place🤩two of which normally have the crazy zoomies in their homes. Invest in training and follow through! It’ll make your life easier and even more enjoyable for you and your dog! They thrive off of leadership and being able to hit their off switch. 🐾🐾🐾🐾 🐾#dogs #dogtraining #adoptdontshop#rescuedogs #breeder #family #kids #walking #baddog #gooddog #dogsofinstagram #doglover #dogoftheday #pets #puppies #supportsmallbusiness #fyp #like #foryou #dogoftheday #love #instagood #photooftheday #happy #viral #love #dogstagram #doglife #petlovers #dogmom
We’ve been training our fifth pup Mako to be a work dog and future therapy dog. He’s taking his role a bit too serious now trying to take over the humans roles training dogs.
