You can't claim to love dogs and then be only in favor of rescue. It just doesn't work.
If you truly love dogs and want the best for the species, you need to also support the idea of responsible breeding. If the only dogs you deem acceptable to own are the messes made by irresponsible breeding bought through the proxy of rescue, and you demonize the practice of preservation breeding, then what you're saying is that the only dogs that should have a place in this world are those bred irresponsibly.
We should want - DEMAND - better for our dogs.
And that means advocating for the breeding of better dogs. Dogs that can live long, happy lives.
Responsible rescue will always be necessary, but if we continue to vilify and discourage responsible breeding... we won't have any healthy dogs left to enjoy. And both we and our dogs deserve better than that.

My guests have arrived from the vet. Old Charlie, who is getting very fragile, he is on heart meds. Then there is the feral Poppy, full sister to Rebel. Gets to play with the adult girls, when they are not chastising her. She is also a half sister to SUNI.
So all the doors are open so Charlie can wander in and out.
All the babies were good last night after their bone chew, then another feed when they came inside. They had 2 sessions of trashing the lounge room. All wanted extra cuddles. Even this morning after their breakfast and toilet break outside, they had a good half hour of zooming inside. Mr. Cheekiee was the fluffy slipper killer.
Suni is trying to learn to fetch. Doesn't want to give little lambie up to do it. Rescued it twice from Gracie, who is the biggest killer of toys at the moment.

Vets offer their services at a discount, and we are so thankful for Vickie Swarowski and SoCal Veterinary Hospital and the others that worked with them today. Health tested parent dogs mean healthier breedings and puppies!
Discounted services mean that those who may not have participated in the past, may be convinced to health test. That is a win! _ And a special thank you to my friend Jamie at Carlsbad Cavaliers who volunteered her time today, taking time away from her own dogs, because supporting this clinic was such an important thing to do to give back to the community. I evaluate puppies after 49 days old and provide information on all puppies to interested families to ensure the best match is made. After families have reviewed all veterinarian health check records and Badass Breeder temperament records then and only then let them choose the puppy that best suits their needs as well as the puppy's needs.
I guide and help as needed, even if that means I make the match.

We have Sweet and charming Male/ Female puppies ready for their new forever loving and caring families. They are going to melt your heart all the way by being very precious and adorable making them so irresistible. Our family has loved them endlessly, preparing them for life ahead with lots of socializing.

Being a responsible breeder includes many things. Getting to cuddle and love and raise sweet puppies is just one aspect. There is so much to learn! I love learning about all of the parts of breeding, genetics, puppy curriculums, temperament testing, how to keep puppies and moms safe and healthy and thriving, etc. I just finished these courses and there are more to finish! ❤️❤️
