As the holiday season is fast on our minds, and the end of the year is nearing, I cant help but turn to what do we want to accomplish in the coming year or do different than this year. The thought that keeps coming back to me is community. Sure, homesteading is animals and gardens and education, but where would we be without community? My heart has always been for our elderly, because without them we would have lost a world of knowledge. Grasp onto that knowledge while we still have it available, and offer to lend a helping hand to that elderly farmer down the road that may not be able to care for their land like they once did.
Community.

I am unfamiliar with mushrooms, but this little guy has plenty of room to grow.

It's nesting season, or at least that's what Mrs Duck thinks. She's been sitting on her nest pretty regularly over the last few weeks. We should know soon if there will be any baby Khaki Cambell ducklings this year. If nothing else, it should make finding Easter eggs a lot easier.
