Dr. Kailyn Van Horn & Jenna came out today to do dentals, coggins, injections and all the things. We are going to wait a few weeks to pull Max’s wolf teeth to let him settle a bit. 🐴❤️🐴

One of our extra special patients, Rock, enjoying a post dental nap 🫶🏼

We’ve been doing his dentals for almost 2 years now regularly. He has some significant dental abnormalities, and now that he’s almost 33 (🥳) with a history of choke and colic, his dentals are an imperative part of maintaining his health. His owner is very diligent, and like clockwork, when he starts chewing differently, she can tell he is due for another dental. I normally say for healthy mouths every 12 months is sufficient for dental frequency. For a senior horse or a horse with some issues, every 6 months might be needed. But in particular cases like Rock, we do his dental every 2-3 months and that keeps him eating and feeling his best ❤️‍🩹 We are grateful for wonderful owners that do their best to keep their seniors comfortable and healthy!
