Looking for horse training?

I am a natural horsemanship trainer located in Seffner, Fl. I have over a decade of training experience. My specialty is foundation work: solving problems and helping horses and owners understand and communicate better. I work with rescues, wilds, c**ts, stallions, and everyone in between. I believe in taking a holistic approach to training by utilizing the horse’s psychology to achieve better communication and form a foundation of trust and respect between both horse and rider. I’ve trained horses across disciplines to ride and drive.

Currently, I travel up to an hour from Seffner, FL for single horse bookings and up to two hours for three or more horse bookings. Please message me if you are interested, I have openings available now!

I had a great day with my bestie Olivia and her horse Gigi! We went trail riding in Myakka River State Park. The weather was perfect, our horses were good, and we even saw some wildlife. We only lost the trail once, but found it pretty quickly 😂✌🏻

has their first ever foal born this week! Epiphany is a cute little girl with a big personality. Her parents are both gypsy vanners trained in dressage and driving. Once she is old enough she will be up for sale, but until then I’ll try to have plenty of pictures and videos of her both out and about and in little training sessions. My goal is to have her fully halter trained by 6months, including picking up feet and trailer loading ✌🏻

Bounty is ground driving really well! I’m pretty sure he’s done it before, so most of what I’m doing is just a reminder of controls, and a continuation of him learning to be brave. The main thing I’m working on with him is desensitization. He can be very reactive, so he is learning that it’s ok to stop and take a breath before I start having him drag or pull anything.

Bounty is learning that not everything is a scary monster in preparation to pull the carriage! It’s important for me to take my time to build his confidence and desensitize him since he can be very reactive. He is definitely the type of horse who takes flight before thinking about what is spooking him. My goal is to teach him to stop and think before reacting, and after he understands that we can get to the driving part 😁

Trail rides are a great way to test out all the work and training you’ve done with your horse. Today Fin practiced staying on the path while looking around 😂

It’s common for young and/or inexperienced horses to swerve all over the place, following their head to try and look at everything. Problems arise when they unintentionally bump into other horses, knock your knees into trees, or clothes-line you on a branch, among many other undesirable and potentially dangerous circumstances. However, curiosity is something that is good to have in a horse because that means they are thinking before reacting, examining before spooking or ignoring. For example, I want my horses to be cautious of snakes, but not terrified. Like many things, striking a balance is the key to success!

Finley had a great time getting his teeth floated this week. Lol I’m told he’s a bit of a lightweight.

I use Advanced Equine Dentistry, and I’ve got to say, their medical trailer is impressive! It also makes me grateful to see that the groundwork and trailer work I’ve done with my horses has paid off in a big way. My two aren’t used to other people loading them or walking up and down ramps, but each time I’m happy to say that they walk right on and off of this awesome trailer as if they do it all the time instead of once every six months. Proud of my stinky babies lol

Fergie thinks this is a dumb game, but she’ll play along because she’s a good sport lol

I’ve had this horse for sixteen years this year! We have done so much together. We’ve learned, competed, fought, overcome, lost. We’ve been through and done so much together that it’s hard to imagine my life without her. She’s given me everything she’s got and more. I can’t thank her enough for all of the lessons she’s taught me, trials she’s put me through, and places she’s carried me. She’s the best partner I could have asked for, and the best friend I’ve ever had. Thank you my sassy, red mare for helping me to become the horse person I am today. Couldn’t have done it without you ❤️
