The D&D Adventuring Party have succeeded their Perception checks, and can now perceive their surroundings a bit! 2 weeks old and toddling about to see what the world has to offer.

Since V***n has the honor of staying in my office, decorated with art from my favorite video game, these ladies are the Okami litter.

Applications for PET HOMES for the upcoming litters will be opening on 3/6/2024. They will be available on our website. As always, Sport applications are always open - just contact us.

This process is not first-come, first-serve. Rather than a traditional wait-list, if you are accepted as a potential future home, I will save your application to either the pet or performance list. When I have a better idea of which puppies will be suited to what types of homes, I will begin going through accepted applicants. If one of the puppies in the litter fits what you’re looking for, you will be contacted and can place a deposit to reserve your puppy at that time.

24 hour notice will be given before applications close again.

V***n had a blast breaking in the summer with a little dock diving! She earned her Dock Junior title and consistently jumped above her average. I just got a sunburn. (Always wear sunscreen, folks.)

Happy National Purebred Dog Day! On May 1st, we celebrate the purpose-bred dog. Each purebred has a rich history with generations of selective breeding behind them, creating a predictable type and temperament with instinctual behaviors written into their very DNA. When you choose to share your life with a well bred purebred dog, you also get a living, breathing piece of human history, and that's something worth celebrating!

Long time, no post, huh? We had a pretty rough winter, to say the least, but spring has sprung and we're getting back into it. Kaguya made her agility debut, earning her first CPE title and rocking the trial environment. V***n came back to agility swinging, earning a new CPE title for herself as well. We're working on getting some photos from those trials. They're both doing wonderfully, and we look forward to seeing what this year brings us!

And sometimes, things just don't go how you want them to.

Sometimes, you show and you test and you plan and you study and you prepare for a litter, harboring big dreams for little dogs, and the universe says "no." Sometimes you go from a litter of 4+ on ultrasound, to a singleton at x-ray, to an empty whelping box and a mama dog who is up every few hours feeling like she's supposed to be doing something very important, but she can't find it.

I am endlessly grateful that V***n is healthy and well, and that I have near limitless access to reproductive vet care that others aren't so fortunate to have at their fingertips. Despite close monitoring throughout the entire gestation and several timing tests when she went over her due date - a single, beautiful male puppy was delivered via c-section on 12/11/2022, but had already passed away.

We kept calling him the little yam that V***n was baking for Christmas, so Yam he became.

We hate that we never got to know you. 💔
