This adorable, sweet, two year old female is ready to find her forever home. She is good with other dogs and children. She loves being active and requires a fenced yard. She is affectionate, is crate trained but will require some patience as she adjusts to a new home. She is located in south/eastern NY state. UPDATE: Thank you for all who have helped spread the word about the need for a special home for these two girls. We think that we finally found two homes, with the patience and the perfect set up, to provide healing for them.
We do not typically post the dogs that we have in care. We greatly appreciate it if those who are interested in adopting/fostering future Berners, would complete our application located at BMDCW. org

PLEASE HELP - Molly and Dolly are two young girls (age 2) who have experienced severe neglect and abuse at the hands of a mill owner. They are very sweet, not aggressive yet shake at the possibility of human touch. They are looking for individual foster homes in which they can learn about normal daily life and slowly recognize humans as compassionate and companions. These girls will require a fully fenced yard and someone able to give them the time and patience to help them begin to understand what a life of a dog can be like. Thank you for all the shares and support. Bear has found a home

Bear is a sweet six year old who is in need of a loving, very committed home. He has been bounced around and spent most of his life severely neglected. He has lived peacefully with other dogs and children (would not place with very small children). A belly band has been successful in stopping his frequent marking in the home. He requires a large, fenced yard as he does love spending long periods of time outside.
