I’ve once again done a terrible job of keeping our social media page up to date🤦🏼‍♀️, so I’m going to do an update for the past 2 months🤪. Rob and I celebrated the end of hunting season by going out for a nice dinner. During hunting season we are either hunting, getting ready to hunt, or working, so at the end of the season we try to get dressed up and go out for dinner. We toasted good friends, great dogs, the beauty of Mother Nature, and thanked the good lord for another safe season. As our friend Lee always says, ‘A good hunt is a safe hunt’! We couldn’t agree more!

In February, we sent home a sweet training dog. WR Harriett, owned by Roger and Katie McDaniel, was eagerly welcomed home by her 4 human sisters and her WR brother Hamilton. We wish them the best of luck on their new journey!

Up next is burning off our training fields and gearing up for the Wildrose Handler’s Workshop!

I’ve been terrible about posting things on social media, so this year one of my resolutions is to post more about what’s going on at Wildrose Deep South. I pretty much failed doing that through the month of January, but we’re gonna blame that on hunting season 😜. So - with all of that being said, I thought I’d post some of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets we’ve had the past few weeks! Mother Nature has really shown out recently! Happy Wednesday Wildrose Pack! We’d love to hear some of your New Year resolutions too!

People are always curious if a little/petite female can goose hunt. Beasley is proving to everyone that little girls can hunt with the big dogs. We love when we get updates from clients! Here is WR Scout (owned by Bill Titus) getting the job done during early Speck season! Bill said the birds were almost as big as Scout, but we all know that’s not going to stop a WR dog!! Can’t wait for more updates as Scout enters her 2nd hunting season with Bill and his family!

It’s always a special day at Wildrose Deep South when we send a dog home from training. It’s even more special if the clients happen to be your best friends and hunting partners!!! Just finished my first 5K (virtual) race of the year for StacheStrong. I know it’s late in the year, but we aren’t going to talk about that! My pace was also slower than a turtle, but we aren’t going to talk about that either. Now it’s time to pack our bags and load the dogs because we are Wildrose Kennels - Gentleman's Gundogs bound for the 50th anniversary gala! Can’t wait to see our Wildrose family tomorrow night!

Wildrose Kennels - Deep South is excited to announce the graduation of WR Boudreaux from basic gundog training!!!! We hope Boudreaux and his owner, Obbie Coleman, have many years of adventures together!!!
