And then there were 3… Huey , Duey, and Louie! Now this is just an fyi……. If you see me on the side of the road picking up road kill…. You’ll know why! They are eating me out of house and home with raw meat!!! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😂😂😂😂😂😂

A little fun fact…… a buzzard /vulture can not fly straight up on take off. They must do a gradual climb for about 12 feet… so. When you see them in the middle of the road please try and remember that little fact.

All of these have injured wings. I just moved them over to the big flight pen. As soon as their wings heal they will get a running start and fly to freedom. Unless they elect to live at happy Place raw meat diner! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Vet day Tuesday! Last of the 6 pack labs! This is Blixen. Soon he will join his siblings
Dasher, Dancer, Donner, Prancer and Comet.

Also have Banana the kitty with the mangled tail. Her surgery is today to have it removed.

Where to begin! My heart is so full of gratitude and thankfulness for all of you who made it out to the bake sale! We had amazing day! Real County showed up!!!!!! Words can’t describe how honored I am to see the generosity and thoughtfulness you showed to me and my rescue! A very special thank you to Caidy and Destiny for putting it all together without them this would have never happened! And to those of you who took the time to bake all those goodies you too hold a special place in my heart!
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of you and catching up on animals I either helped you with or placed in your home! That alone meant the world to me! So from me and “ALL” the animals here at Happy Place Animal Rescue, THANK YOU!!

Pumpkin pie, tres Leches, brownie, conchas, strawberrry sugar cookies, german chic cake, poocorn trail mix, pecan pie, zucchini bread.. etc.. etc..

Ok yall the bake sale is happening. I don’t get out and mingle often. You need to come by and say Hi!
The amount of goodies is unbelievable. I’m so grateful to all those that brought them!🥰🥰🥰🥰

5 of the 6 labs are now fully vetted and thriving here! They are so sweet and are available for adoption. I have one more to pick up next week and the 6pack will be complete! 😊😊
To those who donated for there vet care, a huge thank you. I couldn’t have done it without you! I put up this pool yesterday for them as well as the others for their play time. The labs preferred drinking the water. Lol

Adoptions the last 3 months have been at ZERO! But this little guy got selected! He leaves Wednesday for his forever home! He’s been here since April.. came to me off streets of Leakey, torn ligaments in his back leg and heartworm positive🤦‍♀️☹️ hes all better now and heartworm treatment complete! Way to go Loki. You deserve to be loved! ❤️

I have a very special announcement to make!!!!!!

After 4 1/2 years of doing domestic animal rescue, and what I’m about to say is going to really shock a lot of you that personally know me….

But Like i was saying after 4 1/2 years, and mark this down
In the history books…My washer and dryer has “NEVER” been empty. Nor has all the bedding and towels been all folded and put up!
But as of 10/2/25 at 11:30 am
It is!! Nothing to wash, nothing to dry, nothing to fold, and nothing to put away!!!!!🎉🎉


Now granted it may only be this way for a few hours. But the point is i cant ever say NEVER again!!!

If I could reach my arm around to my back you can bet I’d be giving my self a huge pat on the back!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yall all have a wonderful and happy day! I know I am !

Look who’s here !!! Covid….
He’s not to happy right now but I’m thinking a bunch of treats will eventually win him over. Lol. He’s such a beautiful dog! Thank you to everyone that was looking out for him on his two week adventure! 🥰🥰. I’ve been in contact with his owner and he knows he’s here.
Main thing is… he’s safe!!❤️

It’s once again … VET day Tuesday!!! This is two of the 5 boy labs.. today they will be neutered, heartworm tested, rabies vaccinated and get them on their monthly flea tick and heartworm preventative. Last night you were perfectly fine ! Ate all your fruit and vegetables…. This morning you seemed sluggish, not your perky little self. We went outside for some sunshine and to stretch our legs. But it just wasn’t the same.. something wasn’t right. So I held you in my arms. I’m sorry I couldn’t save you. RIP my little Fauna. You fought so hard! My heart is broken!
