Pet Refuge

Our team is volunteer based and amazing! For the past 30+ years, the dedicated volunteers of Pet Refuge Inc.

Pet Refuge is a limited admission cat and dog shelter that supports the Michiana community and animal control facilities by taking in cats and dogs needing homes and placing them in permanent homes. have devoted their time, and opened their hearts, to the abandoned animals of Northern Indiana. Mickey O'Rourke is an easygoing 11-year-old black and white cat with a laid back vibe that would be perfect for a calm home. Mickey is a gentle soul who enjoys pets and finding a cozy spot to lay in. He is front claw declawed, as well.

Meet him at one of our 2 adoptions events this week. Thursday PM 6-8 or Saturday 10-3.

Melissa from St. Joseph County Health Department stopped by last week with an entire car full of items! They had a donation drive for toys, food and other supplies for our dogs and cats.

Fred is a fun/loving dog who loves to run in the yard.

He had been working on his leash walking skills and with a gentle leader has become a much better walker (less pulling!)

He does get along with some dogs with a proper introduction.
