Dogs that need to be your one and only are very hard to adopt out. If you have a home with no younger children, no other pets and a have a fence, Kala would be a perfect fit. She still has a lot of energy for her age, loves to play ball and can be a big snuggler.

She is smart, sweet and fun!!

Volunteer Favorite ~ Ava

“In need of a life long loyal best friend? Ava is your girl. Fostering a relationship with Ava is so worth it. When you’ve become part of her inner circle of trusted humans, her loyalty will never falter for you. Whenever I arrive at the shelter, she’s in her kennel wiggling her entire body ready for pets and to give me kisses! Not only will Ava see you as her number one, she would love to have another canine friend. She gets along with nearly every dog and loves to play! “I remember my first week of volunteer training. Ava, with her fear of strangers, barked every time she saw me. I told her, “that’s ok; we will be friends soon!” Two visits and a few treats later, Ava is my favorite.

Once she knows you, she loves you with every fur fiber of her being. She gives amazing hugs and kisses, loves to play, loves to cuddle, and gets along with every dog so she gets to be in all kinds of play groups. She has so much fun on our outings even if we just drive around in my car. She is so very worth the time to let her get to know you!” ~ Maria

FEATURED CAT ~ Smidgen

Smidgen is a precious gal who loves to pose for the camera. She is a perfect mixture of a teenage cat and a mature lady. She is calm amongst her peer cats and loves attention and affection. Her favorite spot in your home would be in a hammock or cat tree by a window. She loves to watch what's happening around her.

Senior Sunday! Our sweet senior Ruthie was on WNDU last week. Although the event is over, we are posting the link to show how much energy and s***k she still has in her.

This sweet older girl is looking for a kind and quiet home. Ruthie is very loving and endearing. Unfortunately, we received some concerning news about her recent biopsy on one of her mammary tumors. The tumor was malignant yet had a good margin, but will still need to be watched. Ruthie just wants a warm bed, good meals, and some cuddles. She is a wonderful girl! She has been introduced to small dogs and enjoyed their company! If you would like to know more about this golden girl call and someone from the dog department will contact you.
