Harley is making a splash this long weekend! To ensure a safe and enjoyable beach day, your pup should have a reliable recall. Many beach activities require letting your pup off-leash, so you need to be certain your pup will come back to you when called. If your pup isn’t ready for that kind of freedom, stick to on-leash pursuits like walks along the shore. Let us know if need help with recall and have a great Labor Day weekend!

Kuma loves summer walks! To keep your pup safe and comfortable while walking during the summer, prioritize early morning or late evening walks to avoid the hottest part of the day. Always bring plenty of water and consider checking the pavement temperature before walking - if you can’t hold your hand there for 5 seconds, it’s too hot for your pup’s paws!

Happy 4th of July friends! Zippy is here with some tips to keep your pets safe this holiday:
- Keep your pets indoors.
- Close the curtains or blinds and turn on the TV or radio to provide some distraction.
- Provide treat toys to help keep their minds busy and distract them from the fireworks.
- Provide a quiet place which may give your pet a sense of security and comfort.
- Use a leash or carrier if you must go outside with your pet to keep them from running away.
- Practice fire safety! Keep pets away from matches, open fires, and fireworks.
- Take pets for a walk before the fireworks begin.
- Make sure your pet’s ID/Microchip is current. Your pets should always have proper identification tags with current information in case they get lost.

My Story

My fervent wish to “help dogs help people” has lead me to provide services for various Monterey County Search And Rescue groups, perform therapy dog work in homeless and women’s shelters, nursing homes, libraries, and in my local hospitals. I hope that you will choose to join me, whether it is to make a difference in the dog and human community, or to help you turn your home from chaos to a place of peace.
