Joy is broke well and ready for her next partner.
Would make a good 4H project for a confident kid.
Great trail horse, knows the barrel and gymkhana patterns. Solid W/T\C has done some Cavalletti work. 
Loads right in the trailer, good for the farrier, goes fine barefoot or shod. Currently barefoot.
Easy keeper, no maintenance.
Same horse after she sits for a bit.

We are proud to say that we have decided to donate hay to the Texas panhandle.
We are waiting to hear back about a pick up date for transportation.

If you have any extra hay you have that you want to throw on the trailer heading to Texas please reach out to Double J Equine or Jewel Marie on Facebook messenger.

Other ways to support is buy hay from us!!
The more we are able to sell the more hay we can afford to donate.

Many of you know and understand how hard this time of year can be on ranchers. Winter hay supply is dwindling down, prices have jumped up, we have a solid 3 month left before farmers are cutting and baling again.
A lot of ranchers are calving, late nights and long days, the cash flow is little.
We are all fighting to get by.
But when the good lord calls on you to lend a helping hand to someone worse off then you, you figure out a way to help out.

Preacher is a 4 year old Dutch Morgan cross.
Rides English or western and broke to drive.
He has been started over poles and small fences.
He has been used on the ranch as well.
Swing a rope off of him, ride him down the trail, take him to a 4-h show or finish him into a jumper, eventer or dressage horse!
He is very versatile, and gentle as they come!
15.3 hands and still growing. Trailers, loads, ties, good for the farrier.
Up to date on everything!
Our plans have changed a bit other wise I’d keep him around.

For the Red Barn in Salida HELMETS are required for anyone under 18 and strongly suggested for anyone over 18 due to area size and other conditions.
If you have a health cert or Coggins on your horse please bring them!
But at this time it is not a requirement.

Wow this horse has come a long ways!!

Double J Equine has few slots opening up just in time for summer! Get your horses in the books before we fill back up! From halter breaking to finishing. We do it all and we train in trust! -Colt starting, halter breaking, starting under saddle. - problematic horse, trailer training, desensitizing - Finishing and seasoning in reining/cow and trail horses, barrel horses, team roping and breakaway. Located in Buena Vista.

This horse is OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE ✨ Trip is a 5 year old fancy broke gelding standing 15 hands tall. Beautiful side pass both ways, will side pass to the rail or fence for you, open cattle shoots and gates, back up, turn on the haunches and fore hand, and is working towards the spin. Beautiful roll back.Knows his leads, and almost has his flying changes down as well. He is started on the roping sled on the head side, and has tracked steers out of the box,Backs right into position and is calm in the box. He is also started on the barrel pattern. He Would make a FANTASTIC reining/cow horse. Built to move cows. He’s a natural at it. He is good with his feet, with good confirmation, currently has front shoes on, will put backs on when the weather gets nice again. No health issues, other than don’t over feed him! He is a horse who will stay fat on grass hay. Trailers wonderfully, eats and drinks while traveling. Located in Buena Vista CO Pm for pricing, we will continue his training and finishing him on the head side on live cattle so the price will only go up!

Training a horse to stay collected into a hault is the first step to graining collection throughout all transitions.

Had a pretty cool riding lesson yesterday! Anna got to get out of the arena for a bit, push a lost calve home and practice her skills out in the field opening some pretty hard gates while mounted. Since it was pretty chilly we finished the lesson going over basic conformation and anatomy using examples of the different builds of the horses in the barn.
