UPDATE :: HUGE THANKS to everyone who has donated!! The response has been incredible! Joshua will be bringing Lady home as soon as she's cleared to go. There is still a balance due, as well as expected costs for meds he'll go home with, and a possible upcoming surgery. If you can help, please do. If you can't help, please share!💕🐶

We don’t normally do this – However, this gentleman found this dog this week in Johnson Valley, she was in very bad shape, may have actually been shot. He did the right thing and took her in to Bear Valley hospital. In the past days, she’s gotten a blood transfusion, X-rays, I.V. fluids and a plethora of panels and antibiotics. She may also need a leg amputated. He has spent $800 of his own money so far, and the bills will equal at least $2000 more. We are asking for donations to help with the veterinary bills. Donations can be made by calling directly to the Bear Valley Animal Hospital at 760-240-5228 (she's there under the name LADY Heflin), or to Paypal at [email protected]. UPDATE:: The latest post from Joshua: She's going to be in there for three more days. After that I'll have to take her home to build her back up and get her strong enough to possibly have surgery for her legs.. She's young enough for the doctors to think that maybe her back leg will heal over the metallic fragments and find a way to work as no amount of surgery will get them all. They all love her over there, i can sense it in the doctor's and the vet tech's voices when they talk about how excited she gets to see them and get any kind of attention or food. Very food driven, is trying to walk....the surgery could tack on another $1,300 to the bill and I am going to approve that If or when it comes to that. Thank you all for being with me, I can't sat that enough and definitely couldn't do it without you guys but we're not done. I'm getting this girl home. 👏❤️

I'd like to thank everyone who got involved these past 2 weeks with sharing posts, referring people here, and helping this network to connect lost pets and their families. It might be a record low this year, less than 10 lost or found dogs posted, although when even one family isn't reunited, we end the week with heavy hearts. If you're still out on the lakebed, keep an eye out... you could be the one to help that last lost pup. We hope to have something in place for next year to make this page work even better. 🐶😎🏁

Found dog -- Finder will be on the lakebed until mid Sunday morning. After that she will go back to Trona, California with him where we'll continue trying to find her owners.

LOST -- German shorthair last seen 1/23. Owner was camping a few miles off the 247, near the “Johnson valley yacht club”. Closest cross street was Mikiska Blvd. If you have seen this dog or know of someone who picked her up, please let us know!
