I’ve been checking my grey horse for melanomas for 15 years— however this study suggests he’s at lower risk to develop them because he was slow to grey (didn’t start really greying until 8 years old).
I’ve always felt lucky that he never developed any grey horse melanomas but it’s very cool to learn that his genes are to thank.
