I know it's a long post but please read it.

A huge part of owning a rescue is fundraising. I know it seems like I am posting about fund raisers a lot but here is what you don't see. I work a full time job to cover the bills for the rescue and so does Justin. Then we work endless hours taking care of the animals and often neglecting our own needs. I have gone months without chronic care meds because they don't really fit into the budget. We don't buy luxuries like groceries we don't have to have and we cut corners everywhere we can. When an animal comes in sick, we go without even more and get even less sleep so we can take care of the poor baby's needs. We don't complain. We don't broadcast it. We just do it because it is what we are meant to do.

So why am I telling you this now? 2 reasons actually. 1. Because we get ALOT of people who think starting their own rescue is fun and easy or that they will make money off of it. It's not fun or easy. It's a calling that brings a lot of debt and requires a lot of sacrifice.

And 2. Because we really need your help. Your change, no matter how much or how little, can change the lives of many. I have been out sick with an unexpected illness and we need donations coming in immediately. (If you need a receipt for taxes next year let me know.) Also sharing our fundraiser gives us a chance to reach more people who might have some change in their car or on their dresser that they could let go of. We have a PayPal fundraiser up
