Meet Buttercup! She is one of the newer residents to the BHRR family❤️🐰❤️ Buttercup won over the many visitors who stopped by to greet her as well as the Pet Market staff! She has the “Lionhead” personality and will need a “rabbit savvy” home but will blossom with the guidance of proper care and handling.

Help Us Hop Through Tough Times! 🙏

We currently have 90 rabbits under our care. This summer, we are facing some unprecedented challenges, and we need your help to keep our rescue running smoothly.

🌞 Why We Need Your Help:

Sky-High Electric Bills: The scorching summer heat has caused our APS electric bills to soar, and keeping our bunnies cool and safe is our top priority.

Increased Hay Costs: The price of hay, a staple in our bunnies' diet, has doubled, making it harder to provide the nutritious food they need.

Doubled Insurance Costs: Our insurance policy expenses have also doubled, adding to our financial strain.

We understand that times are tough for many, and asking for donations is never easy. However, every little bit helps, and your support means the world to us and our bunnies.

❤️ How You Can Help:

DONATE: Any amount, big or small, will make a significant impact. Our goal is to raise $2000 to cover these essential costs.

SHARE THIS POST: If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this post with your friends and family. Spreading the word is just as valuable and helps us reach more kind-hearted people.

🙏 THANK YOU: From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity and support.

One lucky BHRR bun found a new friend and loving home! Apollo was one of 7 rabbits rescued from a cat colony. He had a huge abscess but it was easily removed by our vet and has healed perfectly! He found a friend with a former BHRR! They did so well and were off to their home.

Plus Malin, now Pepper, came by for a nail clipping! She is thriving in her new home❤️❤️❤️.

Happy bunnies!

Very busy day for BHRR at Pet Market! 6 bunnies attended our event and 2 lucky bunnies found forever homes!

Graham Cracker won the hearts of a family who were previous adopters. He is a super sweet bunny and found the perfect home.

Burdock, a long time BHRR resident, also a volunteer favorite finally found the best home. Burdock has a bit of an “attitude” but his new Bunny Mom had the perfect touch with him! Burdock has already settled and is perfectly spoiled!

What a heart warming day! Bubbles, who came from another agency in town, found her forever home and best friend Snowflake! Bubbles had a severely injured eye and our vet determined it must be removed. No problem, this sweet bunny was immediately smitten with Snowflake and they were on their way.

Peaches, a beautiful Lionhead mix, but headstrong bunny had a good day visiting with people at our event.

Eclipse, a gorgeous black Satin thoroughly enjoyed the affection she received.

We are so pleased when our bunnies can find a loving home. Thanks to everyone for supporting us in our efforts. #

We need your help! Last year our APS bills for July, August, and September totaled $1800. With the power company increases we anticipate the total for those three months this year will be over $2200. We also just vaccinated and had yearly checkups for over 20 shelter rabbits at a cost of $2200. Add to that $3500 for the medical bills for the seven rabbits from the feral cat colony and three other rabbits that we received from another rescue this month. That’s $7900 and that doesn’t include pellets, hay, litter, and treats. We try not to ask unless we are in dire need but we definitely need your donations to make it through the summer.

We have decided to have a raffle of a few art items that have been donated to us including a 3ft x 4ft acrylic painting of our very own Graham Cracker by Tomasz Brymora, founder and curator of the DisapprovingBun.com, a 36” x 24” poster by Bart Forbes at the Poster Place, a 16.5” x 35” vintage poster by Judith Fell Kettunen, and an 11” x 15” print of a whimsical white rabbit.

Since the large painting is very expensive to ship we will separate the entries by local and non-local so please indicate if you are in Arizona or out-of-state. The winner of the grand prize painting will be chosen from the local entries. We will then combine all the entries and choose the winners of the other three items. We will draw winners on July 31st.

1 ticket = $5.00, 5 tickets = $20.00, and 15 tickets = $50.00. Tickets can be purchased through PayPal at [email protected]

If you are not interested in the raffle but would still like to donate we would greatly appreciate it. We can’t do this without your help and we are so thankful that you have always come through for the bunnies. No donation is too small. Thank you so much!

Captain Crunch and Pop Tart! These beautiful bunnies are a volunteer favorite as they are very sweet and docile. A pair of bunnies is no more work than one rabbit. Just a bit more hay, water and pellets. They adore each other but still look for humane attention as well💙🐰❤️. .
