This is how Uggy & Cindy lived, in cages, barely able to turn around in Puerto Rico. Last week, they took their trek to the Northeast and are both available for adoption. One act of kindness = two animals that will never suffer from neglect again .
Time Traveler,now known as TT, came to us from Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) after his feet, legs and even tongue were burned with chemicals … after vet appointments every two days for two weeks and PT , he is thriving. ❤️
Happy Mothers Day! Today at 3AM our volunteer Tracy made the trek to pick up Maroon, saved from the emergency list in NYC. Later today, we welcome Xavier a small dog also on the emergency list.

To the family that killed Sasha, we hope you see this post and it’s haunts you the rest of your life.
To think cruelty to animals is not seen locally in Massachusetts - that’s a false statement. Despite vet checks, reference checks and interviews Sasha was abused here in Massachusetts after leaving South Carolina for a forever happy life to a family who was supposed to love and adore her.
On 5/15 she was adopted to a family on the South Shore. The next day they claimed her tail was hanging down and she had no control of her bladder or bowels. As an aside, cats at Petsmart are checked weekly by our licensed veterinary team per state law requirements.
On 5/19, back in our care , X-Rays read by a radiologist showed Sacrocaudal Luxation attributed to recent trauma. Sasha was pulled by the base of her tail in her new home to either pull her out of an area or to try and pick her up….. the horror!!
The local and state authorities were contacted to file charges but unfortunately neither agency followed through. Paws4Survival leaves no animal behind and our foster base is amazing …
Tracy and her husband Andy took Sasha into their home for a year, a whole year !!!!! NEVER once crating her, letting her live her life until the sores and medications no longer kept her comfortable. An animal with no bladder or bowel control living life like a normal cat, no confinement, loving life, having dog and cat siblings and adoptive parents who adored her. I am confident to say 99.9 percent of the population would never have given Sasha this year to be a happy go lucky cat.
The bittersweet ending is just this week our volunteer donated a beautiful catio (pictured here) for Sasha to enjoy the outdoors and give Tracy and Andy the much needed break they needed during the day from constant cleaning. The catio was dropped off Thursday evening and Sasha was laid to rest Friday afternoon. Never to enjoy her beautiful new catio.

Rescued from the trash, Yari is finally safe 🐾
RESCUED TODAY IN PUERTO RICO!
Dumped like trash on the side of the road, this sweet lady is in heat and was being harassed by a group of male dogs when we found her today. One of our expert dog trappers was able to save her from the vicious cycle of life on the streets of Puerto Rico— especially for an intact female dog.
She’s on her way to the vet now, but we estimate she is about 5-7 years old, part Irish Wolfhound, and all unconditional and overflowing love— just look at her so happy to be off of the streets, finally!
Yari, you are safe now ♥️ Welcome to our little family. We can’t wait for your new life to begin!
