A sunny day at our sanctuary 🐷🩷
Rare footage of our founder in her natural habitat 😅
Seriously, I believe this is the first time I’ve recorded myself and posted online. I’m not super comfortable being on camera. 🫣 But I felt this was important enough to climb outside of my comfort zone.
I had no idea people were thinking this way! 😐 Did you?
Hawaii has huge challenges when it comes to animals. We are drowning in requests for intakes, or pleads for help with sick animals because people can find a vet. And it’s not just farmed animals, we have an overwhelming number of stray dogs (often abandoned hunting dogs), and community cats,, and there just aren’t enough resources to handle the situation well. We have to limit our intakes almost exclusively to cases from Animal Control, Lulu for example came from there, after she had lost a leg (!!!) likely from being stuck in an illegal snare or a tie out.
It’s heartbreaking to turn so many away, we would love to be able to expand our reach and make a greater impact.
Anyway..
Please ignore my many ummm’s and pauses, it’s unscripted and straight from the sheep pasture. 🤪And I have no idea how to idea how to edit things like that out. #tooold

Vincent update 💛
The treatment regime seems to be working well in terms of keeping our sweet boy comfortable. He’s relaxed, sleeps well, has a good appetite, and drinking well.
This doesn’t mean he’s going to recover though, he may not… 💔 it only means we have a little bit more time to try to figure out what causes this.
He definitely can’t see well, or at all. If you look at the first clip where he’s eating the Ti-leaves you can see he’s not sure where they are. (Thank you for bringing yummy treats, @ecofriendlyhawaii 🙏🏻).
For now we are pampering our favorite boy in every way possible, while working with several different vets and goat gurus to try to figure this out. We are not giving up on him, if there’s a solution, we’ll find it. If there isn’t one, we’ll spoil him rotten until he says he’s done.
Deepest gratitude to everyone who’s sending us so much love and positive vibes. We are feeling it, and it’s helping. He is so loved by so many ❤️

What an incredible year it has been at the sanctuary! ✨
We have had the privilege of experiencing both the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, as is often the case in this line of work. Throughout it all, our hearts have been tested, broken, healed, and ultimately grown.💕
We have had to say goodbye to some of our beloved elderly residents, but we have also had the joy of welcoming several new ones into our care. Each addition to our sanctuary family brings a renewed sense of purpose and a reminder of why we do what we do.❤️
We have also made significant strides in strengthening our volunteer and internship team. It takes a dedicated and trustworthy team to make a lasting impact. We are grateful to have welcomed several amazing individuals to our leadership team, who have shown unwavering commitment to our mission.
Looking ahead, the path forward for our organization has become even clearer. We have carefully crafted plans that we are excited to see unfold over the next few years. The support of our incredible community of supporters has been instrumental in getting us to where we are today, and we are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. If you are considering making an end-of-year contribution, we invite you to visit our website (link in bio) to learn more about how you can make a difference.
Magical Creatures Sanctuary is proud to be a 501c3 nonprofit organization and one of few farm animal sanctuaries accredited by @gfassanctuary .
