Last night we had our first Zoom Puppy Bootcamp. They were exhausted 🤣
We're at it again!
Group Obedience Classes are now Open for Enrollment!!
Dates: Monday evenings starting June 21st
Duration: 5 weeks (no class July 5th)
Time: 6:00PM - 7:00PM
Location: Clearwater County Fairgrounds - Bagley, MN
Cost: $175 per dog/handler team
Got a leash-puller or jumper? Nervous barker or lunger? We’re here for you!
This 5-week program is designed for non-aggressive dogs over 6 months of age that need a tune-up when it comes to basic manners. In this class, we focus mainly on the foundational skills that all pet dogs need in order to be considered "good canine citizens" and well-behaved canine companions. We will be loosely following the "10 essential skills" goals laid out by the AKC Canine Good Citizen program:
1. Accepting a friendly stranger
2. Sitting politely for petting
3. Appearance and grooming
4. Walking on a loose leash
5. Walking through a crowd
6. Sit/Down on command and staying in place
7. Coming when called
8. Reaction to another dog
9. Reaction to distraction
10. Supervised separation
Ideally, by the end of the 5 weeks, each dog should understand each of these skills well enough to be able to pass a CGC evaluation and complete a novice-level competition obedience course. Though we do not (currently) evaluate for the AKC CGC program in any official capacity, each participant will have a chance to practice in a mock-eval and run through a rally course in the final class of the session.
It's a ton of fun!

June 1 and we are finally allowed to be back open. Still are torn on a nickname for the newest client dog.
We understand everyone has concerns and are trying to keep their families safe and healthy from the Covid-19 virus (aka Coronavirus). Many people are attempting to stop the spread of the virus by rigorously cleaning and sanitizing everything that they can. However, everyone should be aware that not all cleaning and disinfecting products are safe for our furry family members.
In fact, several of the most popular disinfecting products are NOT pet friendly. Many products ending in -sol (Lysol, Pine Sol, etc) contain a chemical called phenol which can cause liver damage in pets and sensitive individuals. Lysol gives off potentially volatile organic compounds in its v***r. Additionally, if your pet licks or ingests Lysol, it can cause serious chemical burns in the tongue or upper esophagus.
Please be mindful as you disinfect your homes and keep the health of your animal companions in mind as well. Read the ingredients lists, and do your research. There are better options out there. Anything that you’re willing to use on or around your body should be safe enough to go IN your body (which is where it ultimately ends up anyway) The same holds true for our pets...perhaps even more so!
You are the gatekeeper to your own home!!
This one hits us right in the “feels.”
Please be responsible as you ring in the New Year tonight. We look forward to seeing you again in 2020!! 🥰
We have a little saying around here...
“A tired dog is a good dog.”
Safe to say we’ve got a few food dogs laying around here tonight...
When it comes to caring for our pets’ physical and/or emotional struggles, we prefer to try a holistic approach before reaching for the pharmaceuticals... That’s why we are so excited to announce that Young Living has teamed up with Nature’s Ultra to now offer a Seed-to-Seal Certified CBD Oil formulated specifically for pets!
It is live to order NOW! Message us for instructions on how to link your accounts!!

Dog owners!! BASIC obedience classes now offered locally!! Build a better partnership with your dog by giving him a job to do.
This is meant to be a fun, interactive class demonstrating basic techniques for teaching your dog to be an all-around good citizen. Lessons will include everyday commands (sit, stay, down, come, etc.) and important social skills such as walking on loose leash and greeting new people/dogs.
More advanced classes may be offered in the future based on interest...

Cool new dog collar additions for night time? You could even color-code the dogs!
The all new Lindy Glow Spoons in Perch, Fire Tiger and Chartreuse Scale. Simply insert a glow stick in the back of the spoon to activate the ultimate in glow technology. Light it up under the ice this winter and catch more fish! Available in 3 sizes, 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 oz. and 12 colors!
Friendly reminder to keep your pets’ needs in mind before enjoying tonight’s festivities. Even our dogs—who are extremely enthusiastic about gunfire—show signs of stress when fireworks start going off. Make sure they’re equipped with a proper ID tag and/or updated microchip, and do what you can to give them a safe, comfortable space to hide, if need-be.
We like Young Living’s “Valor” (FREE this month with a qualifying order!! PM for details!) and Animal Scents “T-Away” blends to support our dogs in this sort of situation, but the options below are also good suggestions...
Happy Independence Day!! 🐾🇺🇸🐕
