C4 Pet Photography is a small business located in Columbus Ga. Can you tell me a little more about your photography sessions? We like simplicity.

My goal is to bring a smile to every pet owner's face when they see their beautiful family member captured in a stunning portrait. Our goal in every session is simple, Creativity and Quality. We come to your home with a small, portable-studio. Complete with lights, softboxes, backgrounds, and state of the art photography gear. Very little room is needed for the session; we can make the tiniest of

apartment’s ideal for your session. When possible, we will also shoot around your home/yard for even more variety and uniqueness to choose from. Sessions generally take anywhere from an hour to two hours, depending on how many pets we are photographing. (Not including our set-up and packing up). Sessions with a family portrait may last longer. We never look at our watch; our main goal is to have the best possible images we can get of your pet and you. After your session we edit your entire session, Images are corrected for color and brightness/contrast and some will get special effects so that you have options to choose from. Once you select the portraits you like from your on-line gallery, it takes about 1 week to receive your beautiful prints. What if my dog is not trained to sit, stay or lay down? We will do the very best that we can to capture the best portraits of your pets. This will limit the amount of good poses we can capture. We will do our best to come up with several different solutions. This may mean using your furniture to relax and calm your pet. What days of the week do you schedule sessions? Ideally we like to book sessions on a weekend (if at all possible), weekdays we only offer our services after 5:00 pm. How far in advance do I need to book my pet photography session? Please try to book your pet photography session at least 1 week in advance. What background do you use for my pet's portrait? The focus of your pet's portrait should be your pet, not the background. We normally bring a few different (solid color) backgrounds to our sessions. We also use your home and the furniture in the pictures, for a more personalized look. How will you handle my dog? How involved do I get to be in the shoot? We will work with your dog directly but your help will be necessary as well. That may mean standing next to the photographer making silly noises or screaming out things like "Park", "Treats" or "Wanna go out???". You will also be the person handling the dog. Treats are used as a last resort. Can you do something unique for my pet's portrait? Sure, we can work with you on any special idea you may have, or you can leave it up to us to come up with something a little different. All in all we try to have some unique shots in every session; we do not have a set formula we use with every client. Anything from personality, to coat color may lead us to that special idea that would be perfect for your pet! The cost of adding an additional pet to your pet photography session is just a fraction of the initial session fee. Please visit the Pricing page for current pricing. What should I do before my session? How do I get my dog ready for his/her photo shoot? We like to recommend a nice long walk before the session for dogs who may be hyper and over excited. It usually makes for a calmer dog during the shoot. Also please try to have your dog groomed before your session, and have some treats and squeaky toys ready if possible. My boys and I had a great time this past weekend at Union, SC Time To Fly - Performance Dog Sports Fast CAT event.

The weather was a bit challenging but we all made it through it. I did my best to photograph every dog that ran this past weekend but I did have to use the restroom and take care of my pups. Thank you for understanding.

In the mean time, here is an "Oh Crap" moment from Saturday. It was close but the dog never touched me, Thank God!!!

Yesterday I met up with some friends of mine and their Border Collies at Flatrock, I also brought Lestat and Brutus along for fun.

I wanted to try out some new techniques I've been learning from Claudio Piccoli. I must say, it's going to take me some time to learn new methods of shooting and editing. I have plenty of time though.

I wish I had waited for an overcast/cloudy day but I dealt with the sun as best as I could. I photographed the portrait session with my new Nikon Z 135 mm 1.8. Amazing lens, very sharp and very fast focus.

The log/action photos didn't go as planned and I'll be trying those again with a much smaller tree branch. Lesson learned.

So let me know what you guys think of my session. Be honest.

I have some very exciting news!

I have followed Claudio Piccoli for years and missed going to one of his workshops this year due to an event conflict. I decided to purchase some of his online courses and start learning his techniques. I introduced myself to him through email and included my website. He emailed me back and offered me a mentorship. He only chooses 10 people per year for this amazing adventure. I accepted and away we go! I can't wait to learn everything I can from him.

Hey everyone I just wanted to let you guys know how amazing you all were at the Winter Wonderland FastCAT event held by Time To Fly - Performance Dog Sports. I met some truly wonderful people and got to see some friends that I hadn’t seen in a very long time.

I tried my best to photograph all the dogs that ran but there were times when I was running my dogs or taking care of my pups so please be aware of that.
