My goal is to bring a smile to every pet owner's face when they see their beautiful family member captured in a stunning portrait. Our goal in every session is simple, Creativity and Quality. We come to your home with a small, portable-studio. Complete with lights, softboxes, backgrounds, and state of the art photography gear. Very little room is needed for the session; we can make the tiniest of

apartment’s ideal for your session. When possible, we will also shoot around your home/yard for even more variety and uniqueness to choose from. Sessions generally take anywhere from an hour to two hours, depending on how many pets we are photographing. (Not including our set-up and packing up). Sessions with a family portrait may last longer. We never look at our watch; our main goal is to have the best possible images we can get of your pet and you. After your session we edit your entire session, Images are corrected for color and brightness/contrast and some will get special effects so that you have options to choose from. Once you select the portraits you like from your on-line gallery, it takes about 1 week to receive your beautiful prints. What if my dog is not trained to sit, stay or lay down? We will do the very best that we can to capture the best portraits of your pets. This will limit the amount of good poses we can capture. We will do our best to come up with several different solutions. This may mean using your furniture to relax and calm your pet. What days of the week do you schedule sessions? Ideally we like to book sessions on a weekend (if at all possible), weekdays we only offer our services after 5:00 pm. How far in advance do I need to book my pet photography session? Please try to book your pet photography session at least 1 week in advance. What background do you use for my pet's portrait? The focus of your pet's portrait should be your pet, not the background. We normally bring a few different (solid color) backgrounds to our sessions. We also use your home and the furniture in the pictures, for a more personalized look. How will you handle my dog? How involved do I get to be in the shoot? We will work with your dog directly but your help will be necessary as well. That may mean standing next to the photographer making silly noises or screaming out things like "Park", "Treats" or "Wanna go out???". You will also be the person handling the dog. Treats are used as a last resort. Can you do something unique for my pet's portrait? Sure, we can work with you on any special idea you may have, or you can leave it up to us to come up with something a little different. All in all we try to have some unique shots in every session; we do not have a set formula we use with every client. Anything from personality, to coat color may lead us to that special idea that would be perfect for your pet! The cost of adding an additional pet to your pet photography session is just a fraction of the initial session fee. Please visit the Pricing page for current pricing. What should I do before my session? How do I get my dog ready for his/her photo shoot? We like to recommend a nice long walk before the session for dogs who may be hyper and over excited. It usually makes for a calmer dog during the shoot. Also please try to have your dog groomed before your session, and have some treats and squeaky toys ready if possible. I have always struggled with photographing using white backdrops. I decided to try it again and I think the results were much better. I used different soft boxes and a different arrangement of my lights.

I wanted to share with you guys some of the images I took during my colored powder sessions this past weekend. This was my second time around with using colored powder. This time I was able to use a covered arena provided by QC Arena in Gay, Ga. I used three studio lights, which I must say I really liked the results.

The question remains, will I do another colored powder session in the future? You guys tell me.

Hey everyone let’s talk about image quality.

I’ve been shooting dog sporting events for a few years now and the worst part about it is shooting on bright sunny days. Most of you have no idea just how bad the sun ruins images. It gets really bad when you stand at the timers and your dog runs on the same side as where you are standing. The further away your dog is from my lens the worse the image quality becomes. Now you may ask “Why don’t you move up?” Excellent question. I lay as far back as I can in the catchpen so that I don’t spook your dog and ruin their qualifying run. My job is take photographs and not be noticed by your dog. I don’t want to be the reason your dog won’t run.

After viewing my images from Savannah Ga this past weekend I realize that I’m going to have to start changing the way I photograph. I’ll need to move forward and ask your permission to do so. I had to delete so many images due to quality issues. I’m not going to ask my clients to purchase crappy images, that’s not my style. So if you don’t see any images of your dog the main reason would be because the sun just ruined them. I do apologize.

I’m going to post a photo for everyone to see what the sun does to an image and how great an image is on a cloudy day. Please zoom in to see the difference in quality.
