Volunteers Helping Cabarrus Cats Concord NC The page was developed by volunteers helping cats in need in Cabarrus County!

All of these cats and kittens are in Cabarrus County Animal Control Shelter, The majority will need rescue pull in this very small shelter. The cats have a short pull time about 5 -7 days is average (sometimes a little more depending on intake volume) to find rescue. This page was developed by volunteers to help get the cats in the Cabarrus Animal Control Shelter to rescue be adopted and to help r

aise funds to get the rescue cats the necessary vetting they need. The Cabarrus County Shelter is under new county management and does have a small area for cat adoption at the shelter. You can visit the shelter daily Monday-Friday between 1-4 If you are interested in adopting a cat or dog, or pulling a cat. Awesome update for 2024.
Even though the cost to neuter and vaccinate a cat continues to increase, we were able to raise funds to assist with spay and neuter of 805 cats. (January through September).

Number of cat spay and neuters we have partially or fully funded since the beginning:
2016- 450 cats
2017- 700 cats
2018- 775 cats
2019- 582 cats
2020- 754 cats
2021-1,440 cats
2022-1,355 cats
2023-1,180 cats
2024 so far- 805 cats

Total of 8,041 cats!!!

Note: Numbers do not include cats we assisted but were paid for by other grants or individuals.
