This sweet little weenie dog is Sky. She comes to Rae's Place for doggie daycare to gain socialization skills with other dogs. She's great with people, but other dogs are still a little scary. Totally understandable, since she's so little.
Look at our Apa girl take Sky under her wing! Apa has been a mama dog, she's our doggie ambassador, and she's great with the shy ones. This is so healthy for both of these dogs, and it just makes my heart smile.
You can't train this type of interaction. It has to come from other dogs. At Rae's, we put the right personalities together and watch the magic happen!

This is Rambo. He's been to Rae's Place many times for training, doggie daycare, AND baths. He was pretty anxious that first bath, but we've built so much trust now that he's perfectly comfortable. He even holds his paw up for us to do his nails. You are a scholar and a gentleman, Rambo!!

This girl was terrified before and it brought out the worst in her. Seeing her feeling safe and confident is exactly why we wanted to work with anxious and aggressive dogs. They are so worth the extra time and patience!
This is Talia. This mama dog was found as a stray and her coat is so matted it comes off as a blanket. Having mats like this is so painful for her, and it keeps her from finding her forever home. So Rae's Place is happy to help! This video is one hour in...stay tuned for her final results!

This is Ripley. She's at Doggie Daycare with us today. She's down for the plays, but she just got spayed. So, her play is closely monitored and she's taking it easy. Her dad brought her kennel so she can take some naps throughout the day.
Whatever your dog needs, that's what we'll enforce. At Rae's Place we want your dog to be healthy, happy, and well cared for!
This is Teddy having a play after his groom. Since Rae's Place only has one dog in the building at a time, he could be his goofy self and play with Sarah.
We do things a little differently. Your appointment at Rae's is only for your dog (or pair). No assembly line practices here! Just your appointment, your dog, the groomer (Sarah), and the trainer (that's me, Rae). I assist the groomer in monitoring the dogs for signs of stress, call for breaks when needed, look into their eyes and talk to them when scared, and help the groomer get those hard to reach spots.
