A dream brought to reality!
We are proud to announce the opening of
Black Sheep Animal Rescue and Sanctuary
(BSARS)
Our mission is to save the ones we can and give dignity to those we can't by fighting for better conditions.
Our vision is to reach as many people as we can. Through promoting knowledge sharing, education and advocacy, we will make a difference.
Alone we can’t save them all, but together we can.
We are located in Southeast Michigan and provide support for local farms who treat their animals with love and care.
Currently we are in development; gaining more land to build a home for every animal that comes our way, connecting with donors, creating amazing programs for our future residents, our members, as well as public enrichment.
To begin, we plan to rescue factory farmed chickens from the depressing and sadistic ways they are kept while producing too many eggs. As we expand, we will continue building to provide a home for all species so the animals we rescue will have a safe home to live out the remainder of their lives with dignity, health and comfort.
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, all donations go directly to the care of the animals for whatever is needed to give them a good life with freedom, love and joy.
