We tracked this deer around the 3rd week of October 2024, not a recovery and had him on trail camera 2-3 weeks later. Yesterday the neighbor across the street has him in his food plot and not using his R front leg. Took a shot and was farther back than he wanted, and jumped him 80 yards away and backed out. We decided to wait 24 hours and glad we did. Had to end suffering and congratulations to the hunter! First picture is leg archery hit- So thankfull we had another chance to track this buck!

Today we had 2 tracks! First was cross bow at close distance on the ground. Many property permissions and no beds and then search mode… all blood waist high on grasses, hunter thought high back area and decided not to continue.

Second track Gibbs tracked the line and then went to air scenting mode and found this nice 6 point! Congrats to the hunter and Thank you both for calling us out to help!
It’s a GREAT day with my dog!!!

We are still tracking! Congratulations to the Michigan hunters that had us out to help!

We have been busy tracking! Most of the deer that killed them 10 days ago, does not faze them…. Many have rushed the shot or took the only shot they thought they had. Any marginal or quick shots have not even put these deer down or hurt them…. Long tracks and then nothing…. Hunters jumping down from their tree stands and tracking WAY to early… pushing the deer a long ways away and becoming not trackable! We always do our best to help the hunters!!

Congratulations to the successful hunters that we recovered their game!

WOW! 30-40 calls a day this past weekend! We are 1 for 12, I can only help 5 a day! Hunters need to not rush the shot! Hunters need to wait longer after the shot to start tracking! The bucks are getting tougher due to the rut starting. Liver hit are minimum 18 hours. Gut/stomach shots are minimum 24 hours before you even look at trail! Mark hit site and back out the other direction the deer went!
We have still alive pictures and stories coming in that we tracked for last 2 weeks!
Congratulations to the hunter that we recovered their deer!
Everyone stay safe and enjoy your hunt!!

The hunters have been doing the right thing!! Not liking how the deer reacted to the shot- inspection of the arrow and hit site- looking 20 yards max and not seeing good sign of dead deer. And backing out and calling us for help. 3 tracks the deer were dead in first bed- 1 deer was 900 yards, hardly no blood, liver stomach hit and died across the river. I did not swim to recover. Congratulations to the Smart Hunters!!! Great hunt and recovery!

Well we have been busy tracking deer! Most have been wounded and not dead last couple of days. Gibbs tracked a buck 1.28 miles… the hunter tracked to soon and pushed the deer. He was lucky Gibbs did not want to quit last 150 yards and he finally found him! Congrats young man!
Next day Gibbs had a track- Hunter waited 3 hours and tracked 80 yards and jumped his deer. He backed out and looked next morning and got to a spot he could not find any more blood. He called us in and Gibbs closed the deal with 3 spots of blood last 150 yards! Congratulations to the hunter!

Last couple of tracks, we did not find a dead deer! Today Gibbs went 3.1 miles with blood to a pond and then could not find the track- deer swam the pond and Gibbs could not find the out?? In the pond?? Or back tracked?? Gibbs did some great work!! Other tracks are wounded deer but not fatal. He tracked a deer 600 yards from hit to a buck scrape with blood in it and then could not follow the deer any longer.
We are very happy to help!! Please call and TEXT. 24/7

Congratulations to the Clinton County Hunter. He shot his deer last night, then it started to rain a lot. He could not see much blood and decided to look this morning. Not finding much today, He called us in to help. Gibbs tracked nice and slow 300 yards to his buck!

Second track was shot this morning and waited 3 hours to track- 250 yards later- blood was getting hard to find. They backed out and we decided to give him 12 hours. Gibbs went right to work and 600 yards later, he was chewing on his buck. The deer was still very warm and had not been dead very long. Glad we waited or we would have jumped him and then who knows what would have happened. Congratulations to the hunter

Congratulations to a successful hunter. He checked his arrow and did not like what he saw. Tracked about 10 yards and backed out. Called for help and wanted to look first thing in the morning. Tracked 80 to 100 yards and marked his trail with toilet paper. What a great sight to watch Gibbs go down the marked track and figure out the exit. Gibbs searched the trails the hunter walked down looking for sign and then went back to the last bed and went west- found another bed and tracked down trail they parked at to search earlier. Into the bean field and down to a low area, I could see the white belly and Gibbs tracked right to him. Congratulations to the hunter! Thanks for asking us to help!
The other 3 tracks where no finds! We could not advance a line from yesterday when we jumped a deer from his bed…
The other deer back tracked his first line to a bed and back to hit site and then nothing-
The last deer is stomach/gut shot- Cajus did not want anything to do with this. Gibbs searched and located 4 beds in same area the hunter found a bed with stomach matter in it. Gibbs shut down and would not advance the line. We left a dead deer in the woods…
