Diego was a special pup from day one. Born incredibly tiny, he entered this world not breathing. It took twenty minutes (and a lot of tears) for him to finally take his first gasp. I cared for him around the clock for the entire first two weeks of his life. To be honest my hopes weren’t ever high in the beginning that he’d make it, but to say that he was a fighter would be an understatement. He grew in leaps and bounds, never missing a beat and gave his siblings a run for their money every step of the way. Even when he was a tiny little thing there was never any shortage of personality, or heart. He was the only black puppy born into a litter of merles and sables, so he was kind of the odd man out from the very beginning. I knew he’d be overlooked time and time again, but truth be told, it didn’t bother me one bit. Every day that he stayed was another day that we got to enjoy his company. In my heart I was sure that the right family would come along eventually.. and boy did they ever. Not only did he gain a wonderful family, but he found people who needed him just as much as he needed them. Diego will certainly never replace the other wonderful four legged companion that his new family once had, but I’m positive that he’s the man for the job when they need hugs, kisses or someone to catch their tears. I know that he is already loved beyond measure and will grow up to be the incredible dog that he was meant to be. Raising puppies isn’t always easy, but stories like his make all of the sleepless nights worth while. ❤️🎄 Merry Christmas to all of the Dynamic Doodles puppers and families! We love and appreciate you all! 🎄❤️
