DONATIONS TO RESCUES….When Gracie Oliver Designs donates pieces to a rescue we have a lengthy discussion with the rescue as to the conditions of the donation in which the rescue verbally agrees to.

These conditions include
1. The pieces are to be auctioned and not individually sold. Auctioned pieces have brought high bids of $250-$400. This benefits the rescue. Selling the jewelry outright at a price you set is prohibited.
2. Photos and precise descriptions of each piece will be provided by Gracie Oliver Designs. The rescue must use only the provided photos and descriptions. Not your own photos as this rescue did or description of the piece
3. The fundraiser/auction must be held in a timely manner - within 15 days of receipt of the jewelry.

In May 2023, a rescue agreed to the above conditions to raise money for a specific dog and they have violated every single condition.
I have been in business for 7 years and have dealt with a multitude of rescues. EVERY SINGLE RESCUE COOPERATED UNTIL THIS RESCUE.. EVERY SINGLE RESCUE RAISED LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY THROUGH AN AUCTION - UNTIL THIS RESCUE.

Because of this rescue, I will be more selective as to what rescue I donate pieces to and might have the rescue sign a written agreement in the future.

A very special person is modeling earrings designed just for her. They are sterling silver with African turquoise and pearl gemstones and featuring a Swarovski crystal starfish. She happens to be my hairstylist and friend who is retiring to explore other talents. African turquoise is an evolutionary stone, pearls for a long life and starfish for rebirth and regeneration.
