Fostering.....
I wanted to post Waylon as I have posted before. His foster home signed on for a 3 month commitment, that normally would mean since Waylon hasn't been adopted he would have to come back to the ranch and kennel life and he has adjusted very nicely to a home life at this point. However even though it's been over 3 months his foster has agreed to keep him longer. Please consider adopting him so that he never has to go back to kennel life after his foster time is up.
❤️ Waylon has been in a foster home for about 4 months now. He does really well and plays well with their dog and he loves sleeping in their bed. They are still working on him marking his territory a little bit since there is another dog in the house. This is common but he is doing better.
💙❤ Waylon loves playing with his friends, but he's love it even more if you joined him!
Waylon is a happy boy that wants nothing more than to spend time with his person! He loves playing and getting good exercise like running, wrestling, tug, and chasing his frisbee. He is full of energy! Waylon is a smart boy and can pick up on tricks very fast; So far, he knows paw, bring, sit, down, place, heel, here, and has the drive to learn so much more too. He shows manners when greeting others with or without a dog he’s just the best boy. His favorite toy is a rope tug and favorite treat is freeze dried green tripe. This guy has been with us for quite some time and we aren't sure why…he’s a total catch!
Know anyone who would be interested in Waylon? Share him with them! $15 adoption fee this week!
Speaking of fostering did you know.....
A foster family can help to improve the likelihood that a dog will be adopted. Socialization and training are key to this. Under the individual care of a foster parent or family, a dog can be taught basic commands such as ‘Sit’, ‘Down’ and ‘Stay’, while a cat will learn how to use a litter box and how to behave in a home. Foster homes can also be of huge benefit to animals that are suffering from behavioral issues. With their foster family, they can learn how to behave in a home environment, as well as when out on walks, meeting strangers and other animals. If an animal is well socialized and understands some basic commands, then their chances of being adopted will increase. .
We feel our sweet and shy Luke would benefit grately from a foster home so he can learn what a home feels like and trust, he has grown up in rescue and doesn't understand when people come visit him, hes shy. If he could be in a foster home he could learn love and trust and have a much better chance at adoption and we provide all you need.
