Zoey and Lottie-da - our two newbie kittens - so appreciate the Iams Kitten Chicken vittles that recently arrived just in time from their fans and fellow fur friends 😉 😉! YOU are a part of giving them the best start possible and that makes for a beautiful partnership!

These two little ones can go through 3 - double packs in a day and sometimes more!! They haven't wanted to eat dry food so I'm sure that's why they eat more of it. Their sensitive tummies seem to do better with this food.

Well LOTTIE-DA, welcome 🎉 to the MLAR Rescue Family! She has been relaxing and decompressing from her transition. She's a little feisty but as you can see in these pictures 📸 she definitely enjoys being rocked to sleep. 💤 Will give her a full bath 💦 today, too!

We started her on Iams Kitten Chicken pate 🍽️ - she devoured it and had great 💩. In the hopes to save money, we tried mixing in some Fancy Feast Kitten (over $10/case cheaper) and her tummy and therefore poo, didn't seem to approve so we've moved her back to the wet food.

THANK YOU 💐to those who have donated recently to our call 📣 for the Iams Kitten Chicken pate. We know it's more expensive 💲 and we try our best to be good stewards with what you have entrusted us with - the kittens 😻 well being is our top priority so spending the extra funds is GREATLY APPRECIATED!! These little fur babies 💕 seem to do better with that food.

Zoey took full advantage of the living room while the other kittens were in the back of the house. She is starting to GAIN! She has become a 1lb fuzzy round potato... Yay! 🙌🏼 Some extra TLC 💜 and Iams Chicken kitten wet food 😋 seems to be a good bit of therapy for her. If you could send a case her way by visiting our wishlist in the bio, she would appreciate it! We haven't received any and we are down to under half a case. The way she's eating, that won't last a week 😉

Zoey wants to wish everyone a TERRIFIC WEEKEND! She has had a yo-yo 🪀 week with her weight as she adjusts to her better life rather than being out on the streets. Her tummy didn't seem to do well with the Fancy Feast Kitten so we have switched her to Iams kitten and she is now eating better. I only have about half a case - if anyone could donate some Iams Chicken wet kitten food (no seafood flavor as they usually don't like that flavor), Zoey would be quite grateful 😋 Please visit our bio for Amazon or Chewy Wishlist! ✨

WeLcOmE ZOEY to the MLAR rescue. She is a flame point Siamese mix found all by herself in High Point. We gave her a nice bath to get rid of the fleas and she gobbled up her food. We will quarantine her for a couple weeks before she plays with the bigger kittens.

We have a new fur baby in the MLAR rescue program. 😻💕 Picked up about an hour ago, had a bath, combed out dead fleas and is now being rocked to sleep 😴 Her name and more pix coming soon!!

Little Taylor was spayed today which means she gets to go home to her new family soon!!! Pebbles has been close making sure she's doing okay. She's been wonky in her onesie that's a tad too big for her and sleeping off the pain med. Glad to know she won't be having any fur babies! She'll be too busy enjoying the sweet life with her new big sister and big brother plus their resident cat. 😻💕

Tinkerbell sez no babies for me! Yay! I have had my Spay Day! She told her sister, Taylor, that were awesome and took great care of her so she has nothing to be scared of when she goes this Friday.

Tinkerbell will enjoy many days of play and cuddles with her sisters Sadie (formerly Tangerine), Maggie and Stella. Thanks to .cait, she learned about a new love - camping in a tent! That's where she rested last night in the orange one and this morning she has parked herself in the blue one. I think someone will be going home with her very own tent! ⛺ ❤️😻. We thank her parents for their generosity with litter and kitten food these past few months. They are PAW-SOME 🐾 !!

We will be receiving the vet bill for her spay, rabies shot and final vaccine shot at the end of the week. Should some spare dollars be freed up and you could help us pay the bill for some spays, we'd truly appreciate it. There are SO *meowny* ways to help out! The last in The Flintstones Crew is BARNEY! He is such a gentleman, charming, dapper and a handsome boy. Barney enjoys watching the great outdoors, friendly wrestling matches, sleeping in silly positions and being first at the dinner table.

We are showing off WILMA next! Spay/Neuter Day for Barney, Pebbles and Betty 😻💕 this is the best gift we can give them! And we appreciate YOU for helping us make this happen. We still have more to raise to cover the vet bills for these 3 in The Flintstones Crew.

Asking for money isn't fun but it is necessary in order to continue saving lives and there is always a need. There are requests to rescue them weekly, if not daily. And we HATE to say NO to these innocent lives but due to low funds we have to right now. We need to catch up with the bills we have for the over 25 in our program.

Elvis would like to say “thank you, thank you very much,” if you’d consider donating to our laptop fundraiser!

We’re asking for help in being able to afford a new laptop, to be able to make a BIG difference in our daily lives! We may be a small rescue, but we do a LOT of work. So much of it is physical in terms of caring for the kittens around the clock and keeping them/their spaces clean, healthy, etc. But a lot of our work (that no one gets to see) is actually paperwork and online as well - from adoption applications, emails, advertising, 501c3 paperwork, transfer/rescue paperwork, and SO MUCH MORE - there is a lot of time spent starting at a screen. We are asking for help in upgrading our current screen - the laptop we use is becoming too outdated to be more help than hassle anymore. It’s hard to do everything we need to do on our phones - and things have definitely fallen through the cracks because we avoid doing it on the “ancient” laptop of ours or forget when we are on our phones.
All of this to say, we are having this fundraiser for a new laptop - and if you can understand how much this would help us and want to donate, we want you to know that your support would be a great relief and a huge opportunity for us to be able to work that much more efficiently for the lives we are responsible for saving in our rescue!

3 spays today! Tangerine, Tess and Wilma are a little wonky from the meds and they will be resting in separate rooms tonight. But they are now ready to live a life free of fur babies and instead being doted on in the best of families!

We are LOW ON FUNDS and we have over 25 kittens in the program that we need to vet! This means not only do they need to be spayed and neutered - but other medical needs, such as combo testing, three FVRCP vaccines, rabies vaccines, flea medication (monthly), and multiple rounds of dewormer. Again - all of this is for EVERY kitten in the program! The number of vet appointments and the cost of regular, routine care for each kitten is COSTLY!

So much so that we often times have to say no to taking in kittens - when we know we simply can’t afford the vetting of any more. We are always desperate to take in as many as we can - it breaks our hearts when we know they get left behind or turned away because we can’t say yes to taking them. We know how their tiny lives are dependent on rescues like ours to save them - because where else can they go? But we have to say no to taking kittens in every day because we don’t have the funds - and we’d love to be able to do more. SAVE more!

At roughly $200-$300 a kitten (routine exams, FVRCP vaccine series, combo testing, rabies vaccine, microchipping, routine dewormings, flea treatments, spay/neuter procedures- to name the essentials) and barring NO medical emergencies or even just unexpected appointments for non-emergent concerns (which happens often; we go to the vet A LOT!), the cost to vet all of the kittens in our program currently) will be $5000! Our fundraiser is set to help us begin to cover these costs. If you could help us, you’ll be helping to SAVE LIVES and give MLAR babies a second chance at the future they deserve.

Without help, support, donations, and generosity given in ANY form - we truly couldn’t do the work we do. Vet Day this week for The Flintstones! 2nd vaccine and microchip and next time - spay/neuter appt! I think I only heard one yelp while in the waiting room. They did great! We will be receiving the vet bill for this and other vet visits this week soon. Can you help pay those charges for this crew? We value all donations and want to rescue more. Bills are piling up, keeping us in the red - adoption fees only cover a small part of the cost to care for these fur babies.

The Flintstones have quite the list of extra curricular activities this summer. Checking out their new camping tents thanks to .cait, sharpening the mind with crossword puzzles, meeting new people like mom of (who has pre-adopted another one of our kittens), soaking in the great outdoor air and the luxury of chillaxing.... Gosh they grow so fast!!! In a few weeks they will be spayed and some will be going to their new homes!
