Meet Mystic

Mystic is a happy young girl who is playful and friendly with everyone she’s met. She’s young but already knows house manners, including basic commands. She is 50% leash trained but 200% crate-trained. She is a fan of car rides, treats and doggie toys of all kinds but her faborite is Mr Bill!. She responds well to corrections and is always sporting a big happy grin on her face. Her foster mom explains: “happy girl who wants love from her humans.” She’s a world-class snuggler. Mystic would do best in a home that has a playful dog for her to play and where she can enjoy activities with her family members. She can travel north!!

Zoe is a 3 yrs Pocket Pyrenees, she's coming up to Western Maine Great Pyrenees next week. She's Great with dogs, little shy but she's 200% sweetest.

You might have heard about tragedy today, a Volunteer Pilot Seuk Kim lost his life saving 3 dogs. He had flown so many trips saved so many dogs.

A 12 yrs Tex was found on the side of the road in FortWorth TX in September, Amy Knight adopted him as her personal dog Tex goes from 95 lbs to 120 lbs in 2 mth now he's having a better life in VT but he needs dental work to stop the bleeding from his gum. Rachel had a tough life, owner bred her over and over and over then tied her to a tree, neighbors called animal control they seized her in May but owner never signed her off, she never was available for adoption until September, 5 month she's staring at the empty walls at shelter.

Rachel she's a good girl, she gets a long with all dogs all ages and cats. She's currently being fostered in New England

An update on our efforts to assist our shelter partners in western North Carolina:

Now that cell service is coming back up in communities devastated by Helene, we are learning of critical needs in real time. The folks up at the Yancey County Humane Society are in need of pet food, water, and supplies.

Y'all donated *so much food*--150+ bags of dry plus dozens of cases of wet food, cleaning supplies, and water. We decided to help two shelters!

After confirming with our shelter partner at Watauga Humane Society that they were ok to wait until Wednesday, our friends with Anson County Animal Shelter Advocates and Shannon and her staff at Dogs Day Out Grooming and Pet Resort loaded the van full of supplies collected by Anson Co. folks and the rescue Pyrs' veterinarian Alexis Sage and headed to Yancey today. Lara and Jessica are on the road now.

Tomorrow, we will load up the van again so that Jessica and Lara can take supplies to Watauga and come back with three Pyrs.

Thanks to everyone who contributed so generously and quickly. Amazon packages were delivered all day to Davidson, and folks were dropping off supplies until evening. A special wag of the tail to our new friends at Main Street Books -- Davidson, NC, who brought us the pet food they had collected.

11,085 people saw Rachel post but nobody is serious about helping her 😪 Rachel is very sweet with people but she doesn't really know how to live with a lot of dogs. Owner never socialized her, instead they bred her over & over then tied her to a tree in their driveway. Rescue bailed her out but she needs a forever home. If you're perfect for her pls fill out application ⬇️

Rachel had a rough life, at almost 10 yrs she found herself tied to a tree 247 after she was bred over and over. She came to shelter in May but owner didn't sign her off until September. She spent 5 month at shelter for nothing. She's looking for a quiet family, she'd like to be only dog or with a calm dog. Nobody ever taught her how to live with several dogs, you can't blame her. Meet Paisley!

This precious Pyrenees girl is looking for a foster or adopter in the New Orleans area.
She is such a sweet and gentle girl.

She does not require much but does love a good belly rub. She is house trained and looks forward to her treats.

She does like the outdoors and is your protector as she will bark at people in neighboring yards. She walks well on a leash.

She is curious when she sees squirrels. Paisley does not have a reaction to other dogs in fenced off areas.

She was dumped and lived as a neighborhood dog for some time.
