Hey everyone! I'm Shiloh and at no fault of my own, I'm seeking a new loving home!

I'm rocking 8 years of being an experienced companion under my collar. I'm loving, snuggly and an all around fun gal. I love walks, car rides and hanging out with my people. I can be a tad rough with my stuffie toys but I'm house trained and can chill by myself too.

I currently live and get along with two dogs, a biggie and a small. The biggie doesn't like me much. Not sure why. I really get along with all dogs with a proper doggie intro.

I am a fusion of Dachshund and Terrier, I'm about 29 pounds. I am spayed and vaccinated. I do need a microchip soon though, I can get that when I'm in my new home! As you can obviously see, I'm adorable!

If you think I may be a good match, please email [email protected] and they will put you in touch with my current owners who want nothing more than for me to find a loving home.

Paws crossed, please share me!

Adopted!

Sweet Billy is available for adoption! This 2 year old loving 10 pound nugget has had a rough start. He was with a homeless man who traded him for a 24 can case of beer. He's been with the loving rescue Cold Noses, Warm Hearts

This guy is shy and has a sensitive soul. He loves his food and squeaky toys! He loves to have fun but loves his relaxing snuggle time.

He probably would love a quiet home. He gets along great with other dogs. Since he was with his previous "owner" 24/7, he will need a patient person(s) to adjust him properly to being home alone. He'd ideally flourish with a retired person(s) who are home more often than not. He needs that special person(s) to recognize how special he is and give him a loving home. ❤️ Please share Billy.

Saturday, May 11th! Come out and meet some amazing Santa Barbara County Animal Services foster dogs. Fostering is such a valuable tool to learn more about a dog's personality and adopters are privy to all the information from the foster, which can only make the transition to your home (the adopter) better. 🐾❤️

Meet Rice Crispies, otherwise known as Rice, RC, RK or just the best ol boy.

Rice Crispies has been at the shelter since October 7 of 2022. He has been on multiple day trips and spent lots of time in foster, but no one has come to adopt him.

We understand that adopting a senior might be hard on your heart but just think how hard it is on his heart to be in a shelter environment at the old age of 11.

RC's last overnight foster mentioned that his breathing sounded kind of odd at night so our wonderful staff had x-rays sent out to a board certified radiologist to read the x-rays but his breathing is OK considering his age. At this point due to his age, sadly he won't get better but will need a nice warm cozy home to live out the rest of his days.

RC is looking for a home with no other pets so that he can just continue to be the amazing dog that he is and give his humans all the love in the world.

If you're interested in opening up your home, even just to foster, please reach out to me as soon as possible!

Santa Barbara County Animal Services is near capacity. Dogs in our very own community need some help. Please consider adopting and/or fostering a pup in need.

Not to mention the high volume of dogs that are looking to be re-homed by private parties, these dogs often end up in the shelter system. Unfortunately, the dogs are the ones that end up suffering with the current pet overpopulation crisis. Please advocate and encourage spaying and neutering (no such thing as an "accidental" litter).

Meet Adoptable Bruno!

We came across Bruno yesterday afternoon when we were checking on a different lost/found dog at his house. Bruno came upon our radar when the daughter, who was asking on behalf of her elderly parents, asked how to find him a new home. I saw Bruno in the corner of the yard scratching, looked extremely uncomfortable and didn't want any interaction with a human. I asked the daughter to please take a photo of his skin so I could at least see it via a photo. It was bad. I immediately reached out to C.A.R.E.4Paws who recognized how immediate the need was due to him likely being in intolerable discomfort/pain.

C.A.R.E.4Paws immediately got him into VCA CARE who took great care of him. He received a skin scrape, flea meds, and it was discovered he also had a very bad ear infection. He had to be sedated and his ears were fully flushed and medicated. He was also boarded overnight for some extra TLC and he's currently on prednisone and an antibiotic.

Today, when I picked him up at the vet, he looked like he had received a good night's sleep, far more comfortable and on his road to recovery. His skin will take a while to heal and some time for his fur to grow back. He's also a little shy and skittish, but very loveable and trusting. His foster and adoptable person(s) will need to take it slow and utilize every precaution, as he is a flight risk until he's fully adjusted to any new environment. He's been through a lot, who can blame him!

I'm ever so grateful that C.A.R.E.4Paws once again stepped up to provide this pup the immediate treatment he so desperately needed.

Thankfully Santa Barbara County Animal Services was able to accept him as an owner relinquishment. He's currently at the shelter in the amazing care of the staff and volunteers. If you may be interested in fostering/adopting this guy, please reach out!

In this case, Bruno's medical needs didn't take a priority and the situation intensified to the point of no return for the family. We're all very grateful the family, with the daughter being the driving force, made the choice to relinquish Bruno and get him on a better path with a well-deserved second chance.

I kindly ask that you reserve judgement in comments and let's keep this positive about Bruno's future, healing and a brand-new life ahead!

Care4paws is a non-profit whose funding is through donations. I've attached links in the event you may want to contribute towards Bruno's medical bill, any amount helps. His final invoice was $1,030.68. These costs add up for non-profits and the funding, as we know, depletes very quickly. As a community we are seeing more dogs needing more medical help than ever!

Meet Zorro & Goose! Both these sweet boys are 3 years old and came from a hoarding scenario. They can both be a bit timid at first but when you allow them time and the ability to warm up on their own, they will be your best companion!

Both are affectionate, playful & sweet and will bond quickly with their person(s). They love treats too!

They were great in the car and even though they are a little timid at first, they did so splendidly at an adoption event!

They both could use a bit more practice walking on a leash, they don't pull or get excited, they just need more familiarity with a leash and learning that walks can be fun!

They are both equally adorable and charismatic! And the perfect "fun" size. They deserve the best life has to offer and each a loving home.

Adopted!

Hi, I'm Rocco!

I'm a 12 lbs., 2-year-old Maltese fusion.

To start off, I'm super-duper adorable (if you hadn't noticed). My rescue people can't believe no one has scooped me up.

I have a cheerful happy go-lucky personality!
I'm not a barker.
I like meeting new people.
I'm good with most dogs, I can be a little timid around big dogs but once I know they are friendly like me, I'm fine.
I'm pretty mellow at home and like to go on walks! I'd say my energy level is medium.
I love love squeaky toys.
I'm potty trained.
I love snuggling but I'm not pushy about it.
I'm good with older kids that are 8 years + and are of course respectful of the normal doggie boundaries.
I love checking out birds and gophers on my walk.
I love food and am not a picky eater.
I'm also neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Please share me far and wide. I'm hoping to meet my forever match very soon!

I'm available for adoption through Cold Noses, Warm Hearts

I'm currently in a foster home, please call or email my foster mom for more information:
