It's almost Market Day, and we can't wait to see everyone. Come celebrate National Farmers Market Week with our vendor family, and be sure to come hungry, thirsty, and ready to shop. Many of our food vendors offer free samples, and we will also be giving away 500 free Wolfforth Farmers Market reusable shopping bags at our market office. We are open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. every Saturday year-round.

We’ll be at the Midland Downtown Farmers Market, the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market, and the Wolfforth Farmers Market this Saturday with plenty of mushrooms, microgreens, onions, honey, and more! Greens are still recovering from the hail but our new planting is looking great!
Also, if you can’t make it to the markets this Saturday, you can find our mushrooms and microgreens at Drug Emporium Lubbock and Faith2Farm Market Garden!
So… it’s almost time to launch our first season herdshare program!
Detailed information can be picked up in person at Wolfforth Farmers market this Saturday and the herdshare program will be listed and open for sign ups on our website on Monday; June 24.
We will also be available for in person sign ups anytime once they are open.
The season runs July 11- September 28 this year. 12 weeks to participate in the ownership and maintenance of a West Texas dairy herd and reap the benefits the herd produces in the form of weekly delicious, fresh milk and other dairy products, most ONLY available to herdshare members. Two membership types to choose from! (“Basic” for just milk and “Premium” for milk, other dairy products, and a few extra perks)
Our herd can only support a limited number of members, and once we are full, we will keep a waiting list for everyone else. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for more information before the sign ups open!

KID'S CORNER: We will have a Market Scavenger Hunt for the first 50 kids, 12 and under. Kids can come by Kids Corner from 9:00-11:00 to pick up a scavenger hunt sheet. The kids will visit the market to identify different types of items found at our market-example- different produce, art/craft materials, foods. They will collect stickers on their scavenger hunt sheet. Completed hunt papers can be turned in for a small treat bag and $2 Market Bucks that they can spend at this market.

During the session attendees will:
Practice letting the scene and their scene partners inform their character impulses
Work on establishing a collaborative scene
Incorporate music and other environmental factors into character development
Train impulses by listening and responding
Explore using physicality in scene work
Learn how to let go of your inhibitions while challenging yourself in a fun environment! Ages 15+, Saturday session offered for free as part of Weekends at LHUCA.

Well, we’ve been lucky so far this spring with all the wild weather and hail, but our luck had to run out eventually! Greens and field crops in general took a pretty good beating, but the greenhouses and most of the root vegetables will be fine. We’ll still have plenty of our indoor crops like microgreens and mushrooms, and tomatoes and cucumbers will be coming out of the green house soon! The greens will be back, some newer plantings will be able to be regrown, but the newest seedlings and the fully mature greens are torn up from the hail. All there is to do is to plant again and wait!
We’ll be at the Wolfforth Farmers Market, the Parks Legado Town Center Farmers Market, and the Midland Downtown Farmers Market this Saturday! Tons of lettuce heads, onions, kohlrabi, microgreens, mushrooms, and more coming off the farm this week, so find us at one of these markets or Drug Emporium Lubbock during the week to stock up!

Inspired by Polish Grodziskie style lagers and West Texas BBQ. This beer was made in partnership with Friends BBQ.
Now, hear us out, you like smokey BBQ, you like Beer. You are going to like Smoked Beer too!
Coming in at 4.3% abv, this style is brewed from wheat malt that has been dried by circulating oak smoke through the grains. The smokiness of the grain and the mineral profile of the water used to brew the beer gives the style its characteristic flavor.
The launch May 25th will have Friends’ Barbecue out serving amazing BBQ that pairs so perfectly with a Smoked Lager!

Wild year for bees for us, 4th swarm of the season in a 100m radius of each other over the first 2 weeks of April! No complaints here!
