We had a good show last weekend in Medina, and thank the judges who invited us back for finals!
This week, please visit us at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds in the Rhodes building! This is our last show until the International in Cleveland the second weekend of October.

Kawaiikats is proud to announce one of CFA's newest Grand Premiers!
Kawaiikats Mikaze received her Grand Premier title at the Golden Triangle Cat Fanciers show in Cambridge, Ontario this afternoon.
We would like to thank all the judges who have supported her along the way!
Hoshi is recovering well from his neuter, and would love a new family to call his own ❤️

Wiggly babies are so hard to photograph! 😂 Currently called Snowy, SpotsnDots, and Face, Dolly's kittens are growing like weeds! Eyes are open, and they are moving around the tent like crazy.
Miwa is healing nicely from her spay earlier this week, and is beginning her search for a new family to call her very own. Please reach out to us if you are interested!

Every breeder knows just how hard it is to place the specialist of cats.
Recently, KawaiiKats placed our first queen Taiga, now spayed and happily retired, with two of our KawaiiFans... And we couldn't be happier with how she is settling in!
We are so grateful to be in this journey with the bobtails, and seeing our babies fitting into other households and falling in love with their new people makes all the tears worth it. ❤️

Harold was at his most charming this weekend meeting spectators! Everyone loved holding him, and we would say he definitely lived up to his ambassador status! This smooshy boy is already looking forward to meeting new friends next weekend at the Great Lakes Great Maines show in Columbus, OH ❤️

This is Kawaiikats Cattery's sixth grand.
Although Harold is sporting a nice nose smack, he's still going to be making biscuits for everyone coming to see us at the Medina County Community Center this weekend! Along with Domino, we are being our best ambassador selves for the JBT breed and CFA! 😍 We look forward to seeing you all soon!
These two beauties - Taiga and Mikaze - are both fixed and looking for forever parents! They are both Japanese Bobtails - Taiga is long haired, and Mikaze is short.
Taiga is a retired queen and quite the licker, particularly foreheads, and loves to bestow affection. She can be a little spicy, being a mi-ke, but is usually calm, cool and collected. She still likes to play, and when you get her going, you will find she's agile and quick.
We wanted to show Mikaze, but it turns out showing is not her place. She's a very sweet girl, although definitely likes sharing affection on her own terms. She's never been a "hold me" cat, but love head rubs and scritches.

And our older litter is full of even more vim and vigor now that they have an entire room to take over! We love this stage for the bobtails, because they like to hop everywhere, like little bunnies. 😻
Today's kitten observations: PE is now known as Takeshi. Depending on the characters used for the name in Japanese, the name can mean several different things. However, I'm sticking with warrior, because as you can see in the video, he isn't letting anything stop him! He has been out and about, exploring the cage, the top edges of the bed, and everywhere in between. He also likes to sit at the door and yell at me for pets. The Zorro looking boy is the most adventurous. I let Taiga out a few times a day to stretch her legs... And he was out of the nest right after that! He's explored every inch of the cage, and has even taken a sip or two of water. No interest in any of the three types of food Taiga is getting per day, but that's alright... They aren't quite old enough for that yet. The two girls love to scuffle with each other in the bed, and don't seem as adventurous as the boys. That said, they did come out of the bed quite a few times, and toddle around. Harold Jr also partook in some sips of water, and was the first to peek into the litter box. It might be just a smidge too high for them to get into right now, but I'm sure it's coming! Onespot likes to lick the outside of the water bowl... Not really sure why, but it's adorable. His back legs frequently try to move faster than his front, and he goes tumbling forward unable to brake. I introduced a kitten toy to the cage tonight, and while they don't understand yet how to play with it, they definitely like to climb on it. It's been a nice quiet weekend at home for us, and we've enjoyed getting to experience the kittens a bit more than normal. Not looking forward to work this week, but the evenings will be filled with kitten love!
Our KawaiiKittens have been upgraded to a bed, instead of a large high sided litter box! The little mi-ke was the first to explore! She is crawling around on her wobbly legs, checking out the scenery. 😻
Taiga is very concerned when we snag her kits for the daily weigh in! She always tries to take them back. 😻
