Like looking for a four-leaf clover 🍀, finding a ginger female is rare, and that’s exactly who our sweet Pip is! A little gem full of gentle love and endless curiosity.

Her story has its own fun twist: she was originally named Pippin after the hobbit from Lord of the Rings, but a surprise visit to the vet revealed she was actually a girl! So, Pippin became Pip, as in “Pippi Longstocking”; adventurous, kind, and always ready for fun.

Pip is around 4 months old, a go-with-the-flow gal who loves other cats but saves her softest spot for her humans. She’s fully vaccinated, on flea/tick/mite prevention, 2Dx negative, and microchipped, and ready for her forever home!

We are head over heels for Pip, and we know she’ll make the most amazing addition to a lucky family. Could that be yours?

Happy Labor Day! Today, we celebrate and honor all of those who work hard to make our country a better place. We see you, we honor you, and we are grateful.

To mark the day, we want to share an update on the two little chihuahuas who were abandoned some weeks ago, a boy and a girl.

Hazel, the sweet girl, has received medical care, gained weight, and already found her forever home. She will be flying out this month to begin her new life.

Héctor, her brother, is still fighting a tougher battle. His pancreas is very delicate, and his enzyme levels are extremely low. Until his body stabilizes, he cannot gain weight the way he needs to. We do not know how long he and Hazel were malnourished, but it clearly took a toll on his little body. Still, we will not give up on him. With treatment and care, we believe he has a fighting chance.

As if things couldn’t get any better, Nico’s travel from San Juan to Newark went smoother than we could have anticipated. Hanna had been eagerly waiting for this day, and finally, the moment came when she got to meet Nico. She knelt down, arms open, and Nico leaned right into her. In that instant, his journey with his new family began.

At our rescue, we work hard to match each adopter with the perfect companion so both lives are transformed for the better. Nico’s mom will continue building his confidence and love him exactly as he is, and we will be excited to share updates along the way so everyone can see that rescuing and adopting is a journey, not the end goal.

Every donation, every share, every act of kindness makes moments like this possible.

Together, we can give more Nicos their happy ending.

🚨 Urgent: Transport Donations Needed for Nico

Remember Nico? The shy boy abandoned by his family? 💔

Well… his dream is finally coming true! He’s been adopted by a wonderful lady in New York who read his story and instantly fell in love with him.

Now, we just need to get him there. Because Nico is too big to fly in a carrier bag, he has to travel via cargo — and the cost is $500 from San Juan to Newark.

He flies THIS Tuesday, and every dollar counts to get him safely to his new mom.
From being left behind and betrayed… to heading straight into the loving arms of his forever family.

Brunson is the definition of when life gives you tangerines, you make the best of it. 🍊

At just 4 months old and weighing 12 lbs., little Brunson was surrendered by his owner due to a lack of time and care. One of our core rescuers stepped in and offered to take him in, giving him a real shot at a better life.

Brunson is pure love. He never stops smiling and radiates positivity, no matter what. He doesn’t let life get him down. Honestly, he might be the purest little sato we’ve had the honor of rescuing so far!

This sweet boy is crate trained, never complains, adores people (adults and kids alike), and is well-socialized with other dogs. I mean, how perfect can he be? Oh! And he’s potty trained, too!

With all of his medical care up to date, Brunson is more than ready to find his forever home with someone who will truly adore him and give him the time, love, and life he deserves.
