From street survivor to total lovebug 💕 Gabriela has a heart of gold, a playful spirit, and a curious mind—ready to explore the world (and your heart). 🐶💫

Meet Gabriela, a gentle soul with a heart of gold 💛 This sweet young pup was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico and is now looking for her forever home.
Despite a rough start to life, Gabriela is full of love and trust. She’s friendly, affectionate, and has a naturally curious spirit. Whether she’s exploring her surroundings or playing with her favorite toys, Gabriela’s joy is contagious! 🐾

She loves people and is always happy to meet new friends. While she hasn’t had much opportunity to socialize with other dogs in our care, we know she’s ready to keep learning and growing with the right support. She’s also fully up to date on all her medical care and ready to go home!
Gabriela is looking for a patient, loving person or family who can give her the time and attention she needs to thrive. She’s young, energetic, and ready to give her whole heart to the right home. Could it be yours?

Meet Momma Emma — a feral cat who defied all her instincts to save her babies. Desperate and sick, she sought help from the nearest human, leading her straight to one of our incredible volunteers.

In Puerto Rico, the situation for street animals is heartbreaking — and Emma knew her little family wouldn’t survive without help. Our volunteer quickly took Emma and her kittens, Pixie and Dawn, to the vet, where they were diagnosed with a life-threatening respiratory infection.

The babies were too weak to eat, their noses blocked with mucus from the illness — and without smell, cats won’t eat. But thanks to your donations, our team didn’t give up. Around-the-clock care, meds, force feeding, and v***r baths brought these babies back from the brink.

Now? They’re thriving! Healthy, playful, and ready for forever homes.

Let’s kick off the week with Sunny’s bright smile! ☀️🐶 This sweet, vibrant 8-month-old pup—affectionately known as Sunny D-Light—is full of love, wiggles, and kisses. He’s up to date on all his medical care and ready to find his forever home!

But Sunny’s journey to joy hasn’t been easy. He was found as a terrified 3-month-old stray and the sole survivor of his litter, living alone at a DMV site. The employees would feed him, but he was too frightened to let anyone near. He found shelter under an old container—cold, wet, and dirty—surviving each night in silence. The area was known as a “puppy-killing zone” due to heavy traffic and unsafe activity after dark. We knew we had to act fast.

With some patience and a smelly can of sausages, we set a trap and finally captured him safely—just in time. Sunny had no idea how much danger he was in. Since then, we’ve poured our love, time, and resources into helping him heal and grow into the sunshine-filled pup he is today. 🌈💛

Sunny now loves other dogs, gives the best hugs, and will happily shower you in kisses. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to brighten your days, Sunny’s your guy. Let’s find this brave boy the forever home he’s been waiting for.

At PRoud Rescuers, these words are more than just a beautiful sentiment — they’re our mission.

Every stray we save from the streets of Puerto Rico is a soul we run toward with open arms, not away from. Because we believe that every act of rescue, no matter how small, is an act of love. And love is powerful.
