Omg our rescue has been destroyed by last nights weather. Thank god all of the dogs are okay. Structures have been pulled out of the ground, fencing with their poles pulled down, awings destroyed, etc This is going to be a major cleanup and expense.

Chris has been there for hours evaluating and cleaning up. Please consider making a donation to help us repair, replace tarps,awings, fencing etc.

This is truly a nightmare!!

In the last month, 2nd Chance Dog Rescue has lost a few monthly donors that has hit our rescue pretty hard. We totally understand times are hard for everyone and pray that this world turns around soon.

We are a medical senior dog sanctuary with no employees and doing everything on our own. I can't even begin to tell you how much it costs behind the scenes to keep our sancuatuary running, but I can tell you that, we won't be able to do it much longer, if we keep losing monthly support.

We may not be able to save them all, but the ones we do save live the best lives and never have to worry about being abndoned again. Another wonderful update!!

It is all about reading the signs and taking action. The minute, I saw Polly the other day, I said she is uncomfortable and stiff, so off to the vet we went and in just one day… Update from her amazing foster mom Maureen Paula

Polly is doing so much better today!! The rimadyl made a big difference. She has pep in her step and is eating like a champ - she ran right over to her food bowl and finished everything in record time. So happy to see this sweet girl feeling better!!! 🥰

Great news… Sadie’s echocardiogram revealed mild value disease, but we can move forward with tomorrow’s splenectomy.

Now for the hard part. Trying to raise funds to help with this unexpected $3,500 bill. See plea from Sadie’s foster mom. Every bit helps. Thank you!!

URGENT ‼️‼️‼️
My foster girl Sadie , myself and the rescue really need your help. ❌❌Sadie was feeling off the other day so I took her into the vet and she has a large mass on her spleen and enlarged heart. We got her in for an echocardiogram today. Hoping to get good results so she can have her spleen/mass removed on Friday before it ruptures…. 🥲🙏🏻

Between the echocardiogram today at $600 and the surgery between $2600-$3000, we need help to cover her unexpected surgery and echocardiogram 🙏🏻🙏🏻. Any amount helps whether it’s $5, 20, 50. We really appreciate it.
