We received an email the other day about Trooper, a horse that was adopted out to a wonderful family that also operate a therapy program at Wildfire Ranch. Trooper was very well loved there and was best friends with an older, blind Belgian horse. His friend passed several months ago. Trooper had been receiving treatment for EPM on and off for the past 2 years. He recently was down and couldn't get back up. His "mom" sat with him for several hours until the vet got there, telling him how special and loved he was. The decision was made that he be humanely euthanized. Now he and his best friend, Petra, are together again, galloping through greener pastures 🧡💛 He was lucky to be so loved and to have been in such a wonderful home. 💖

What a beautiful day for Autumnfest this past Saturday! Thank you all for coming out to support the rescue horses! So many people helped with so many things at this event, it's hard to name them all. The farm's students, their parents, all of the staff at both the rescue & the farm. It was a record breaking Autumnfest! 🎉🎊

Irish & Cocoa were invited to a birthday party this past weekend. We weren't sure how they would act but they were great! They really like children and were SO good for them. They got brushed pampered and went on several walks around the shelter area. They certainly got great exercise...especially because when they are out at the farm they mostly just stand around and look for grass🤦‍♀️😂🦄 We are still working on getting their weight up where it should be, it's been a project but I think we're almost there!

Rain is doing so well learning to be a riding horse. We don't believe she has been ridden before. She is a standardbred mare and has been used to pull carts. Good job Rain & Erin! 🥰
