Giving really makes a difference. For Crowley it made the difference between having sight in his only remaining eye or going blind.

Because of the generosity of many donors Crowley was able to go to Cornell for corneal graft surgery.

These two little beauties are ready to steal hearts!

Irish and Cocoa are the two most recent arrivals at the rescue These two miniature horses have been inseparable for twenty years.

They were once stars in the local 4-H community, cherished and pampered by their owner who recently passed away.

Suddenly, they faced an uncertain future, their lifelong bond threatened by the possibility of separation.

Word of their plight spread quickly, reaching the compassionate hearts at Phoenix Rising Equine Rescue. Determined not to let Irish and Cocoa be torn apart, supporters rallied together.

With overwhelming support, Irish and Cocoa found a new home at the rescue, where they will stay together forever.

Meet Oscar....

"I'm Oscar, a survivor with a tale that started at just two years old. Sent off to an auction, I found myself in a kill pen, almost feral, scared of the world, and clueless about even basic leading skills.

The journey since then has been nothing short of a transformation.
These days, I'm an attention hog, reveling in the company of people. From a nervous youngster, I've evolved into a pony who adores being around humans.

I've embraced training, learning to be ridden and finding joy in jumping and participating in riding lessons. Hanging out with my bestie, Ava, is a favorite pastime.

Now, if you ask about my living quarters, I might not win any neatness awards! But there's more to me than a messy stall.

My most charming feature? These long, beautiful eyelashes that I bat at everyone who might have a treat for me.

I won some impressive ribbons at the Erie County Fair last summer. Each ribbon tells a story of triumph over adversity, a reminder of the love and care that turned a scared pony into a ribbon-winning companion."

The 10-Day Countdown Begins!

Give 716 is almost here. There are benefits for both rescue horses and donors alike! Opportunities for donations being matched (doubled!) and various giveaways at different donation levels.

Your donation (beginning on 7/15 at 7:16pm through 7/16 at 11:59pm) will help horses like one of our most recent rescues, Rain, a 22yr. old Standardbred mare that came with feet so badly neglected our farrier thought it was likely she would need to be euthanized.

Thankfully, with his expertise and care she is recovering nicely!

Rain, one of the new rescues, had such terrible feet (she could not walk at all well) that when the farrier saw her he felt he needed to get her more comfortable and see if he could help her. I am happy to say that even though it is going to take time, she is already looking better. Fingers crossed for a positive resolution! 🤞🩵🙏

Do you remember Ivan? He was adopted over 6 years ago as a companion horse. We visited him a couple weeks ago when we took Cali to her new home in Leroy. Ivan (now Buddy) is looking great!!!

Harley didn't like that Tallulah got all that attention from the vet a couple weeks ago. So of course he had to hurt himself trying to jump out of the front ring 🤦🏼‍♀️ He definitely got to see the vet and is getting lots of attention 🙄

Exciting news about Trixie... she has a new "job." Trixie left today to take on a new job as a babysitter/companion to a beautiful 5 year old mare that is rehabbing from a serious leg injury. Having a companion will keep her more settled and content. When she is alone she gets much wilder, running and bucking. Trixie will help keep her more "chilled out" and calm so that she doesn't re-injure herself. Good luck with your new job Trixie! 🍀❤️

Meet Smokey, the newest arrival at the rescue. He is a 4yr old grulla Quarter Horse. After he has a little rehab we will see what he needs to learn. So far he has been a very sweet, good boy!

Crowley & Mark, along with rescue alumni Thunder & Tom were the first to ride out on the hunt course this year! The horses were feeling a little spicy but they all had a great time 😊

Rosco left for his new home yesterday - Little Long Ears Rescue & Sanctuary. What a wonderful place and wonderful people! Rosco now has new friends and a beautiful new home. All the resident donkeys came over to meet him when he arrived. It is the perfect environment for him... Go Rosco! 💕
