It's with great anguish and pain of heart to inform you that my mother, Debbie Jean (Miller) Edgerton, fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 5:55 p.m. ❤️☦️🙏

To all of you out there that knew my mother and were part of her world, I read your comments. In fact I've been a moderator on her Blueridge Pure Breeds page for many years. She started this business from scratch and worked so hard to make sure that her little Scotties found "forever homes," as she called them.

Mom loves all of you so much. So much. The joy you brought her is beyond any word I can write on Facebook. Thank you forshiningg your light and being wonderful human beings. We need more of that in the world right now more than ever.

The future of Blueridge Pure Breeds is unknown right now, but one thing is certain, it won't be going away. In fact, my brother and I (Shane) plan on carrying it on, in one way or another in the future.

We'll keep you all posted. Please pray for us and my mother's beautiful, simple soul as she finds her place between the arms of our loving Saviour Jesus Christ and all the Saints.

A lot have changes are taking place in my life. Bad news I really don't know the outcome. My health has gone to good to not being able to get out of bed. Hi Debbie! Quick update on sweet Lily. She will be 13 next spring. She is definitely slowing down. Got a bad infection a month ago (enlarged liver and gallstones). 3k later she is doing well. She is the sweetest dog I have ever owned, and she is well loved and spoiled. Not sure she will live past 2022, but know that I have loved her every day I have had her. Thank you for sending her my way.

Today I want to tell my story. Hopefully this will not be boring and may help everyone to understand why I have kept this Blueridge Pure Breeds page and why I keep my doors open. I starting breeding Scottish Terriers in 2009 until late 2016. I even rehomed some of my Scotties into later years. I keep my doors open for that very reason. I want anyone to reach out to me if they need there Scottish terrier rehomed. And many times I thought I might would breed again. But since I have gotten older and the thought that something might happen to me and leaving my babies behind and with no help and working a full time job at this point it is just impossible. Even though I loved it so much. I have helped people find puppies and I really do enjoy that as well. And it may not even be a Scottish Terrier. I am just happy to help and glad people feel good about reaching out to me. So I will continue to do that. And I do apologize for not responding quickly enough sometimes and please forgive me. But from this day forward I will respond quickly. Thank you so much for your patience. Sheba and Sassy say "Hello" from Blueridge Pure Breeds.
