Hi everyone! Bennington to Manchester Center was rainy and cold and muddy!! But it was also beautiful and fun! We have a lot of other hikers around us these days as the south bounders are starting to pass us in force! These intrepid hikers started in Maine in June and are making their way to Georgia (opposite to our northbound hike).

I am so grateful to have made it safely to Manchester Center! Vermont had an early cold snap this week and we were unprepared with just our summer set up. A couple of nights of questionable sleep due to being cold and wet but we made it and, with our boxes of winter gear from home and a good resupply of food we are confident to head towards New Hampshire!

Once again, thank you for all the comments and posts of reassurance. It really helped me focus on the present and the priorities this week!

Hey Stars and Stripes Family! Siena will be showing at the Florida Horse Park for the POP Schooling Show this Sunday, July 14th! If you would like to come support her and Forest, her jump times are:

While Harper’s Ferry isn’t exactly half way - it is the emotional half way of the northbound thru hike, and the home to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy Headquarters. It is tradition to go there on the way through town for a picture and to register the halfway point of your hike. Many hikers don’t make it this far! I was #1282 to start and registered at #930 at the halfway point. I have seen these traditional photos on social media for years and I am so excited and thankful to have mine in the photo album as of today! ❤️🤍💙

Well, we did it! 1000 miles on the Appalachian Trail. Not quite halfway, but we are extremely proud of ourselves!

Hello everyone! I wanted to let everybody know that we are safe and Roan Mountain, Tennessee! We will stay here for zero day tomorrow and give us time to update everybody! Stay tuned for my usual updates, filling in all the time that I did not have signal! Thank you so much for everybody who continues to check on me and wish us well!
