We work with a lot of primates, Rocky and Neco our rhesus macaques are the most aggressive species we house and the biggest pain in the ass.
We were referred to another family this last week for a young rhesus needing placement. Most people would say hell no… but situations like this is what our facility was built on and what I stride for.
Being the last pernament home. Preventing them from being rehomed over and over because people don’t realize what they have gotten into with most of these species, due to no fault of their own.
Jack is only 16 months old, and we are his 4th known home. A semi truck driver purchased him, and he lived on the road being fed junk, then he was purchased by a family to get him out of that situation where they quickly realized primate life is a bit too much.. and now he’s here, where he will remain, mature, and be a primate.
We will work a lot with him hands on, to hopefully prevent him being like Rocky and Neco. But a mature primate; will always be just that. A mature primate. And I’m thankful we are set up to give them the home they need, when they become anything but cute and snuggly.
Welcome to the Cicchelli family, Jack boy 🐾❤️
