Ransom had his first ride today. Man is this horse special. He’s having surgery tomorrow to be gelded so I had to hop on a get a test drive before. He was so cool and is going to make an even nicer gelding!

Cabo had his 4th post track ride just before I left for Louisiana. I seriously can not say enough good things about this horse. Not only is he gorgeous and impeccably behaved on the ground, but he is an absolute doll under tack. The most comfortable and rhythmic canter that just makes you want to ride him all day long. I didn’t even sit on him this day. A lovely riding junior, Norah Kovar rode him from start to finish. Just because they are recently retired does not mean they are hot or unmanageable. They deserve an educated rider, which she is. This horse was started so well before he even went to the track and man does it show. This is probably my favorite to ride in my barn right now and I will seriously shed a tear when he finds his human. Would absolutely love to see this one at RRP next year, he could absolutely be a top contender for the finale with his amazing brain and lovely way of going 💙

Great job Norah! Cabo also very much enjoyed getting to know you as well!

Preacher earned absolutely sainthood status. I had so much fun just tossing the reins and cantering around. This guy is just an ammy dream. We both were struggling with this awful heat but he was still just so willing and easy.

Who needs a gigantic puppy dog in their life? Preacher stands at a towering 17.1 but has the heart of a golden retriever. Needs a best friend? He’s your guy. He is just easy to do whatever you want with and will stand all day in the cross ties in front of the fan. Heck, he’ll ground tie in front of the fan. He is a lovely mover, although his laid back nature made it a bit hard to show it off in the jog.

Vivie is incredible. I had some much fun getting to know her in the arena today. Her movement is huge, just like her stature. She was clearly very appropriately named Va Voom as a baby.

Cabo is the horse every amateur dreams of. He gorgeous and kind. Stands quietly for absolutely everything. He was such a saint for his first ride that we pulled his bridle at the end and rode him without it. His canter is just lovely. This one could truly go in any direction. He has enough talent to be an UL horse and brain that could easily take a kid around the hunters.

Meet the gorgeous Vivie. This lady is all legs standing just under 17.2. Although extremely tall she is still light enough in my opinion to still make a lovely upper level mount. Fabulous mover. More to follow this week!

So yesterday Mercy got to take a spin on chief. Please ignore the jungle of grass I have successfully grown in my arena after 3 weeks of rain without being able to drag and a week on a broken foot.

This horse is SUCH A GOOD BOY. The epitome of a kick ride. Mercy didn’t know what to do with something you don’t touch in the mouth and just kick forward. If you’ve started a few tbs you know the cantering around on the right read to the right can be confusing for them, even though they use their right lead on the track. It was so funny trying to help her with it. I was going to mute these because I sound ridiculous but they are so funny. Wanna learn on a tb that is super safe? Buy Chief 💙 Thanks Mercy for sitting on him!

Habanero had his first post track ride a few days ago. This horse is SPECIAL. He’s so, so quiet and so willing to try anything you ask. He even very willingly popped around the cross rails like the best boy. Super uphill mover and has a rocking horse canter you could sit and ride all day. This guy wants to event, I’m sure of it. He’s going to be one of those thoroughbreds that has you in the 20s in dressage 💙

Dinski had his first post track ride this weekend and he was fantastic. Even popped over a pile of poles to begin our introduction of jumping. I LOVE this horse. Nothing quite a pretty as a dappled out bay. Meet Dinski the 8 year old Who is the epitome of in your pocket. This is an amateur dream horse who wants to be your best friend but is also nice enough to take you through the levels competitively. He just doesn’t take a bad picture either!
